Telx, World Telecom reach partnership

March 8, 2010

Telx signed a partnership agreement with World Telecom Group, a diverse master agent.

Telx VP of Channel Sales Kirk Horton considers the strategic agreement a “big win.”

According to company officials, Telx has engaged WTG as a marketing and sales agent on a non-exclusive basis, and WTG telecom agents can now offer their customers carrier-neutral connectivity and colocation in all 15 of Telx’s North American locations.

Horton said the “powerful new alliance” will help Telx grow its interconnection and collocation facilities nationwide, while helping WTG provide the “most choice” in connectivity to their customers, giving WTG agents a “competitive edge.”

According to Horton, Telx has plans to forge similar partnerships this year, emphasizing a focus on vertical markets.

The channel-neutral agreement allows Telx sales executives to provide direct marketing and sales support to WTG agents, resulting in a higher close rate and a more collaborative channel relationship that benefits both companies, company officials said.
