RMI, Allot Communications expand partnership

CUPERTINO, Calif. – During the RMI “Performance 2009” Conference, RMI Corp., a provider of high-performance processors for communication and media rich applications and Allot Communications Ltd., which provides IP service optimization and revenue generation solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), announced they reached an agreement for RMI to be a strategic provider of multi-core, multi-threaded processors for Allot’s high-performance platforms.

RMI’s multi-core processors will allow Allot to achieve high throughput, low latency and increased functionality.

We will help Allot leverage their investment in RMI multi-core to drive differentiation across multiple tiers.”

Initially, RMI will provide Allot with the XLR Processor® for its top-end platforms and appliances – the Allot Service Gateway Sigma (SG-Sigma) and the Allot NetEnforcer AC-10000 series.

The Allot SG-Sigma is a carrier-grade, highly scalable DPI-based service gateway platform designed for mobile and next-generation networks, providing built-in readiness for 3G, 4G/LTE and converged environments. With 40 Gbps of throughput, SG-Sigma lets operators manage high-speed broadband performance, control operating costs and generate new revenue streams through the deployment of network and subscriber services.

The Allot NetEnforcer AC-10000 series is a highly robust and scalable bandwidth management device that improves management of bandwidth intensive applications.
