Cbeyond Reports Revenue, Customer Growth

Cbeyond, Inc. announced strong revenue growth for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. First quarter revenue for the company equaled $98.3 million, up 22.1% over the first quarter of 2008. Net revenue dipped, however, to $0.1 million in the first quarter of 2009 compared with $1.0 million in the first quarter of 2008.

Total customers in Cbeyond's 12 operating markets rose to 44,342, reflecting net customer additions of 1,879 in the quarter. Average monthly revenue per customer location was stable at $755 during the first quarter, compared to $754 in the fourth quarter of 2008 and $748 in the first quarter of 2008. Monthly customer churn of 1.5% in the first quarter, meanwhile, compared to 1.4% in the fourth quarter of 2008.
