Avnet Names SVP of Emerging Channels for the Americas

Avnet Technology Solutions has named Dee Dee Lear as senior vice president of Emerging Channels for the Americas.

Lear will be responsible for the strategic direction, expansion and growth of emerging channels, including system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and various types of service providers (xSPs). She will lead Avnet Technology Solutions’ efforts to expand its market share and drive growth through new partner acquisition and partner expansion in the Americas.

Lear’s responsibilities also include Avnet Technology Solutions’ operations in the Latin America and Caribbean region, a strategic and high-growth emerging market.

With more than 26 years of experience in the technology industry, Lear brings a background that includes time with a national integrator of technology-based solutions, a distributor of IBM mid-range server products and a technology distributor.

Lear is president of Women in Channels (WiC), an industry-related non-profit board, and has also served as an elected public official, president of the Little Elm Economic Development Corporation, a member of the board of trustees for a local school district, and various community non-profit boards in her home state of Texas.
