CarrierSales Reports 30% Annual Sales Growth

Utah-based master agency CarrierSales has reported 30 pecent year-over-year sales growth, and 35 percent growth in billing.

“When it comes to the solutions that our partners are selling, we’re not in the business of building Model T’s, we’re in the business of building Bugatti’s,” said CarrierSales president Richard Murray. Speaking at the company’s annual event in Utah, he touted greater strategic engagement, more upstream deals, and that the solutions CarrierSales are architecting as having higher close ratios, and stickier products sets.

After the presentation from Murray, JR Celski, three-time Olympic Medalist in Speed Skating, got up and told his story to a packed audience from vendors across the country. JR is well-known as the “comeback kid” after his blade got stuck 6 inches into his right leg during the Winter Olympics. It was possible that JR would never walk again, much less skate, but through his determination and drive, JR went on to win three Olympic medals. JR had one of his medals present during the meeting and passed it around the room for everyone to see and touch.

JR’s talk tied into Murray’s theme of Lighting The Fire Within, which was also the theme that was used for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Murray closed with, “We don’t want to be known as the master agent with the most agents at the end of the day. Our goal is to be the most successful master agent in the country.”

After the presentations, the group went on to participate in the Olympic sport of curling and used the same stones from the 2002 Winter Olympics. The next day, 200 vendors, agents and customers maxed out the golf course at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah for the company’s annual golf event. This year’s event featured a 2015 Porsche Boxster giveaway for a hole-in-one and a professional long drive hitter who was hitting drives 300 yards from his knees.

Bill Robinson, SVP of sales for inContact, later spoke to a packed audience about its contact center solution. Robinson was then followed by Skyler Stewart, regional vice president for Vonage Business, and Scott Forbush, VP of the indirect channel for Integra.

In closing the event, CarrierSales then announced the Partner Choice Award results for the year, as voted by their partners:
