Metalogix Expands to Asia

Metalogix has expanded into the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, led by newly appointed director Lex Taylor.  Taylor, who will be based at Metalogix’s newest APAC regional office in Melbourne, Australia, will be responsible for driving revenue and overseeing sales and channel development teams across the region.

“I am delighted with the opportunity to join the world-class team at Metalogix, and proud to help lead the charge in expanding its footprint into this highly lucrative geography,” said Taylor. “APAC continues to be one of the world’s fastest growing markets – one that actively pursues technology innovation as a means by which to create and maintain a competitive edge.  For APAC-based organizations seeking the ideal solution for managing and protecting their Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, OneDrive for Business, Exchange and other on-premises and cloud-based content, they will have direct access to the unparalleled solutions offered from Metalogix.”

The appointment of Lex Taylor showcases the company’s continued global expansion outside of its established leadership roles in North America and Europe. With Microsoft’s recent release of SharePoint 2016, Metalogix is seeing expanded interest in its complete suite of solutions that enable organizations to migrate, manage and protect their mission-critical content within their SharePoint and Office 365 environments.

Mike Kan, vice president of channel and alliances, EMEA & APAC, Metalogix commented, “We have remained deeply dedicated to making the necessary investments in staying close to our customers and partners, really listening, and responding with technology innovation and unrivaled service.  Likewise, we have maintained our focus on developing our most critical asset – our people.  Lex’s appointment is a reflection on these core Metalogix values.  His enviable depth and breadth of experience, combined with a well-known commitment to the channel community, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence across the APAC region.”

With over 25 years of sales and business development experience, Taylor was most recently with DB Results where he held the position of Account Director.  During his tenure, Taylor was responsible for growing his territory by over 500% in consulting revenue.  Before that, Taylor served as Director, Energy & Utilities for Software AG, where he helped to drive vertical growth of more than 1500% to become the first vertically focused market for Software AG in Australia.  Prior to Software AG, Taylor held senior sales and business development positions with SAS Software, Agentis Solutions/Software, Computer Associates, ANZ Banking Group, and other highly respected global business organizations.  Taylor holds a Certificate for Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship and pursued a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University.
