MicroCorp Adds APXnet Fiber to Portfolio

Master agency MicroCorp has inked an agreement to provide APXnet’s high-speed Internet access, wide area network solutions and last mile access service through its more than 1500 selling partners.

“APXnet enhances our provider portfolio with the latest in Ethernet and fiber-optic technologies,” said MicroCorp president Phil Keenan. “Their Gigabit fiber-optic connections offer unprecedented capacity to quickly transfer large data and video files. These are critical functions to the growing number of enterprise customers our partners serve.”

APXnet started in 2001, as parent company NLT Co., a regional provider of high-speed fiber optic access design and development. APXnet now offers fiber in the top 20 national markets and most Tier 2 and 3 rural markets, across the U.S.

“As the premier value added distributor of telecom, MicroCorp is the obvious choice as a master agent partner for APXnet,” said Mike Pallies, director of channel development for APXnet and 2012-13 MicroCorp channel manager of the year. “In addition, I have many close relationships with MicroCorp agents from my five years supporting them through another provider.”

He added, “I’m looking forward to working with all my friends at MicroCorp and their agent partners. APXnet maintains strong engineering skills, a get-it-done attitude of its employees, and deep relationships with our carrier-partners throughout the country. Fiber is an area of growth in the industry, and no one is better at fiber than APXnet.”
