SmartFile Expands Channel Focus

SmartFile, a secure enterprise file management and sharing platform, has brought on Tyler Snetselaar as the director of strategic alliances and channel partnerships.

Snetselaar is tasked with leading the global expansion of SmartFile’s channel partner program to systems integrators (SIs), value-added resellers (VARs) and managed service providers (MSPs). With this growth, SmartFile gives channel partners the ability to reach other areas in the organization and diversify offerings.

SmartFile’s FileHub is an on-premises solution that can consolidate and integrate with network storage, replace file sharing and FTP tools and provide a unified file management tool, from a single appliance. Other enterprise-focused features include self-managed encryption, advanced auditing for governance, high availability and failover readiness, SmartStats visual analytics and granular user and mobility features for workforce access anywhere in the world.

“The program is built on the platform’s strength as an enterprise solution and the growing need for scalable file governance,” said John Hurley, CEO and co-founder of SmartFile. “The channel is a large component of our growth strategy, especially as we look to expand our international business. We are dedicating key resources and investments to this program, the first being the addition of Tyler to accelerate awareness. We’re thrilled to welcome someone who’s had success with the channel in an enterprise environment.”

The program consists of three partner tiers: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Depending on the tiers, SIs are provided with margins on initial and recurring revenue, gift cards for well-qualified sales leads, and focused support and training. Partners can also register their deals to receive additional margins and ensure SmartFile is only customer-facing with the registered partner.

“SmartFile provides channel partners with the opportunity to reach other areas of an IT organization. Partners focused on networking and unified communications can expand their offerings to reach a business’s storage and security side,” said Snetselaar. “I’m excited to present the highest margins in the industry, and a proven enterprise product that any Fortune 1000 company or government agency can deploy with confidence.”
