snom Appoints Shocair as CEO

Following the increase of snom’s capital stock by HeidelbergCapital Private Equity Fund II, to become the majority shareholder of snom technology AG, Nadahl Shocair has been appointed as snom’s new CEO.

“snom is a German multinational corporation, and the world’s first and leading brand of professional and enterprise VoIP telephones, being the world’s first to deliver VoIP telephones into the market in 1999,” said Shocair. “We will use the increase in capitalization for new product development, to intensify technological innovation, continue to drive market expansion, increase market-share growth and expand snom’s global footprint through our international subsidiaries, distribution partners and value added resellers.”

He added, “As snom’s new CEO, I am proud to lead a great team of professional, talented, motivated and truly inspiring men and women who will continue to add value to our customers, partners, suppliers and shareholders.”

Shocair is 53 years old, from Arlington, Texas (in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area) and has worked across the world with approximately 25 years of experience within the different branches of the ICT sector having held key positions at Deutsche Telephonwerke AG & Co. KG. (DeTeWe) in both Germany and the UK, Boomtel Networks, Centile, CommQuest Semiconductor and Hagenuk.

Shocair has also been supporting, mentoring, lobbying and driving the growth of Berlin’s entrepreneurial technology startups by leading ‘Silicon Allee’, the local and international voice of Berlin’s startup community.
