Global VoIP provider StarView Solutions is beefing up its wholesale VoIP origination portfolio with text messaging (SMS) services from TSG Global. The deal extends StarView’s SMS network footprint and allows it to further integrate texting into VoIP services for its base of VoIP carriers, service providers and resellers, as well as mobile application providers and developers.
“SMS-enabling our global network of direct-inward-dial (DID) and toll-free phone numbers will allow our customers to not only activate text messaging on any mobile application, but to also enable traditional or cloud-based texting on any landline phone number, which is a winning feature of TSG Global’s carrier-grade network,” said Joel Balistreri, vice president of sales at StarView.
StarView Solutions’ API-driven VoIP origination portal will also enable its wholesale VoIP customers to pull down any amount of SMS-enabled inventory from the company’s network of wholesale VoIP applications to bundle their own solutions. The company said that the goal is to simplify the ability to acquire and activate phone numbers through real-time transactions.
“While SMS is dominating the marketplace, customers benefit from the easy-to-use interface of our DID acquisition portal, enabling a range of telecom players to quickly add SMS as a value-added service, along with our other information services such as Caller ID Name (CNAM) to their phone number orders through our portal,” explained Chris Griffin, president of StarView. “Our sourcing process allows them to more easily enable text messaging on their wireless and wireline applications to address the demands of enterprises and consumers.”
