Granite Telecommunications has been around for more than 20 years. Despite this, it really is only just getting started. Traditionally known as a service provider, Granite offers voice, data and other products and services to multi-site enterprise and government customers across the U.S. and Canada, including more than 85 Fortune 100 firms. Simultaneously, its Granite Channels program allows partners to better streamline and manage their clients’ voice and data needs. Regardless of the target, Granite offers a single contact for customers and allies, as well as single-invoice billing across a wide footprint of locations. Every day, Granite evolves. “We’re more of a technology company, today,” said vice president, channels, Charlie Pagliazzo. “Of course, it’s not what we were. Now our services are more in-line with the technologies that are available today. People may know us as a POTS line aggregator, but we’ve become so much more. Our tagline now is, ‘Granite: 20 Years, We’re Just Getting Started.’ Our approach really plays well into that.” Today, Granite provides technology for internet access, managed services including SD-WAN, along with wireless, hosted voice, SIP trunking and POTS replacement. These are solutions that go beyond traditional voice – for example, access, mobility and network integration, the latter being premises services that offer demarcation extensions, full build outs of voice, data and video cabling requirements and in-demand solutions such as distributed antenna systems. Granite also boasts an expanded NOC portfolio for improving network visibility into utilization, outages and other critical areas. Such managed services have become a huge area of growth. At the same time, Granite’s proprietary IP network allows it to meet specific client needs, including delivering six different SD-WAN offerings that allow for a customized network configuration. And Granite’s Epik POTS replacement solution permits dial-tone services to continue, even after copper lines are decommissioned in an area. Despite these individual strengths, Granite’s greatest potential may be in its ability as an aggregator, offering a single pane of glass for invoicing, supporting customers and handling orders. Because Granite aggregates both solutions and various locations to its proprietary billing and inventory platform, multi-site organizations are a focus. Whether retailers, restaurants, hospitality, property management businesses or practically any other vertical where multiple locations are the norm, Granite believes that it can create the right custom package for your – or your customers’ – unique demands. This also presents an opportunity, per Pagliazzo, to “generate commissionable revenue for those partners. “Partners never have to go far to find answers,” said the executive. “We can accommodate whatever services their end users need as they go through their digital transformation journey.” Granite has the deep resources to support such individualized needs. By being profitable, debt free and vendor agnostic, it does not answer to any outside party. This allows it to make decisions based on the best interests of itself, its customers and partners. “With certain companies, they’re going to offer you their solution when you need one,” said Pagliazzo. “Granite will work with you to customize. Need a premises-based solution? We have that. Want to be at the edge or in the cloud? We make those available to you.” As Granite’s gains continue based on its unique solutions set, a transition is underway. Just look to the Granite Channels program’s unprecedented growth. This unit now boasts more than 80 staff members and, in Pagliazzo’s words, “a dramatic increase in partners.” And, moving forward, that show of partner support should only grow with new promotional opportunities, plans for an “Achievement Circle” event and other incentives. 2023 represents an exciting time for Granite Telecommunications. “It’s been 20 years, but we’re just getting started,” smiled Pagliazzo. “For us, it’s evolution, not revolution. Everything we’re doing is built on top of what we’ve done. The next 20 years will be based on the experiences we’ve had and the asks of clients and partners. And we’re only just getting started.” Visit www.granitechannels.com, channel-sales@granitenet.com or call 877-884-5200.
