CYBER PATROL BlackBerry Launches New Unified Partner Program BlackBerry Limited announced a new global partner program that combines BlackBerry Enter- prise Partner and BlackBerry Cylance Partner Programs into one comprehensive structure. The new global program features a unified sales portal with real-time access to a revamped curriculum of training, tools and enablement resources to aid partners’ go-to-market efforts. As part of the new program, all 2,200-plus Black- Berry resellers and distribution partners will have access to BlackBerry’s entire portfolio of solutions. The new program also includes a Partner Protec- tion feature, allowing partners to register their deals to receive higher discounts by working closely with BlackBerry’s field sales teams. There are also several reseller partner distinction levels in the new program, including Gold, Platinum and Emerald, which provide increased levels of benefits and discounts to partners based on their annual new business revenue targets and technical capabilities. Select value-added distributors also will have the ability to obtain back-end rebates for achieving new business growth targets. Additional benefits of the new BlackBerry Partner Program include acess to the Beta community and knowledge base to test products before they are released; availability of Not For Resale (NFR) licens- es so partners can educate, test and trial deploy- ments within a virtual sandbox environment; and demand generation and sales support. Todyl Launches SASE Program for MSPs Todyl, a provider of secure access service edge (SASE) solutions for MSPs, announced a new partner program and channel chief to help managed service providers looking to add or expand edge-based cloud security. Todyl’s Secure Global Network (SGN) Cloud Platform consolidates multiple point solutions for small and medium businesses that need to secure remote staff, co-working spaces and distributed offices, thereby empowering MSPs to thrive in the new “work from anywhere” economy. With Todyl, MSPs can deliver and scale solutions including SASE for small business, security information management (SIEM), governance, risk and compliance solutions (GRC), and more including essential SASE services such as secure web gateway, Cloud VPN, Zero Trust, secure DNS, content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention and more. “We wanted to offer something to our clients right away that extended the security of our staff to their homes due to the pandemic,” said Preston Knight, operations manager at IT Specialists, Inc., a Todyl MSP partner. “Todyl’s SGN cloud platform allowed us to address this urgent need in a simple, quick and incred- ibly effective way.” As a key part of this expansion, Darrin Swan, a 25-year veteran in tech consulting, joins Todyl as channel chief. After building the MSP channel at Quest Software, Swan launched and led the Global Service Provider Program at Dell, growing the partner ecosystem to thousands of partners worldwide. Expected Shif ts in Security Spending More than 70 percent of CISOs and security buyers surveyed by McKinsey & Co. in August said their budgets would likely shrink by the end of 2020, but they plan to ask for significant increases in 2021.
