Inteliquent Expands Reach to 93% of U.S. Inteliquent announced that it has increased the reach of its on-net local phone number footprint. With more than 12,000 on-net rate centers covered, Inteliquent now reaches more than 93 percent of the United States’ population and has about 3,000 more rate centers available than the next largest provider. “In the past 12 months, we’ve expanded our on-net footprint by over 2,000 rate centers,” said Nick Reifschneider, vice president of product at Inteliquent. “We will continue growing our footprint based on our customers’ needs.” Inteliquent said it has seen a surge in phone number and voice service usage due to work-from- home and virtual learning needs. By operating a 100 percent API-enabled self-service portal, Inteliquent’s communication service provider customers can quickly and efficiently order phone numbers, said the company. Snom Supports SMBs with M100 DECT Mobility Series Mobility is becoming increasingly important for small business environments, as workers are heading back to offices needing to social distance. Cordless devices such as Snom’s M100 DECT Workplace Mobil- ity series allow workers to maintain physical distance from one another while remaining connected throughout the day with powerful DECT 6.0 technology. Snom’s cordless deskset and handset features four programmable LED line keys for improved call handling, enabling users to toggle between calls and place callers on hold with push-button ease. “Snom’s M100 series is an ideal solution for active, on-the-go businesses,” explained Matt Hickey, vice president of sales, VTech and Snom. “These devices are easy to deploy and install, making them great for small organizations with busy and overstretched IT teams. This device contains the G.722 wideband codec support for HD audio calls. M100 SIP DECT 4-Line Base Station In addition to supporting up to 10 DECT devices, the M100 SIP DECT 4-line base station can enable advanced call handling features compatible with hosted and open-source PBX platforms. It can also support up to eight SIP lines. M10R SIP DECT 4-Line Rugged Handset Snom’s M10R rugged handset is built to last, with a locking battery door as well as shock and water-resistant protection, making it ideal for industrial or outdoor environments. This device supports HD audio. M18 SIP DECT 4-Line Deskset The M18 deskset will look sharp on a desktop but offers the convenience and flexibility of a cordless phone. It can be plugged into any power outlet, and paired with the M100 base station, allow- ing each phone to have a unique number. It contains four program- mable backlit LED keys, 32 speed-dial keys and supports HD audio. Snom is currently offering a trade-in rebate program, extending through July 15, 2021. Businesses can replace old business phones and obtain rebates when replacing five or more eligible devices. Comstar Acquires Comtel VoIP Comstar Technologies, an inter- national provider of telecommunica- tions, managed IT services, physical security and audio-visual solutions, has acquired Comtel VoIP, Inc., a Buffalo, N.Y.-based provider of hosted telephony solutions. This acquisi- tion was meant to expand Comstar’s geographic footprint and broaden Comtel’s solution portfolio beyond its current voice offerings. Through the deal, existing Comtel customers gain access to the Comstar Technologies portfolio of communica- tions and technology solutions.
