Masergy has announced a new SD-WAN solution that extends the value of its secure, managed SD-WAN offering to the remote workforce, supporting their network connections with built-in security, dual-link redundancy, load balancing and dynamic traffic steering capabilities. Masergy’s work from anywhere solutions include SD-WAN Secure Home for execu- tives and power users requiring unwav- ering reliability from their home office connections and SD-WAN On the Go for mobile users needing secure access to corporate and cloud applications. SD-WAN Secure Home includes a lightweight Fortinet Secure SD-WAN device for quick connectivity and improved application performance while using a home internet connection. It also includes built-in next generation firewall and routing, direct connections to an ecosystem of cloud services, as well as secure access service edge (SASE) cybersecurity capabilities. Available in November, SD-WAN On the Go is a multi-platform software client and VPN that uses IPsec tunnels and next-generation endpoint protection for secure remote access to the corpo- rate network. It also provides mobile users SASE-based secure connectivity anywhere. Subscription commerce platform AppDirect announced investments of $185 million, including from global institutional investor Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and existing investors. The $185 million in funding brought the total equity raised by AppDirect to approx- imately $465 million. The new funding will be applied to organic expansion, strategic acquisitions and additional hiring, said the company. “Today, businesses are facing unprecedented challenges. At the touch of a button within the iAgent app, agents can chat directly with preferred carri- ers, request a quote, submit support tickets, track commissions and get exclusive invites to carrier events. “Our number one priority is to support our agents so they can focus on doing what they do best: selling,” said iTelecom CEO and founder Micah Bevitz. “We devel- oped the iAgent app as a solution to the frustrations and challenges our agents encounter daily. AppDirect Secures $185 Million iTelecom Launches Agent Mobile App Broadvoice is reinforcing its commitment to its indirect sales partners with the addition of two new regional sales professionals to its channel management team. Robert Sanchez has joined Broad- voice as regional channel manager – Mountain West. Sanchez comes to Broadvoice from CenturyLink, where he was a channel sales manager for more than 13 years, focusing on net new sales and growing an existing revenue base of more than $3 million with 609 agent partners. Sanchez has extensive experience developing and executing customized plans to increase sales volumes, said the company. In addition, Joseph Galluzzi is now regional channel manager – North- east. Prior to joining Broadvoice, Galluzzi was a senior partner devel- opment manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region at Telarus, where he grew revenue more than 200 percent in the last year. Previously, Galluzzi held roles as regional channel manager for Spectrum Enterprise, partner channel manager at EarthLink Business and partner channel manager at One Communications. Broadvoice also has regional channel managers in California and the South- west, Midwest and Southeast.
