INTERNATIONAL AGENTS Xilica, a provider of collaboration products, has made a significant invest - ment in its channel ecosystem with the launch of the Xilica One Partner Program. Xilica One was built with advanced sales and marketing resources that make selling Xilica’s room solutions for enterprise, education and government easier, said the company. It is available in select markets across North America, the Middle East and Africa as well as Asia- Pacific, with the roll-out continuing across other territories into 2022. The program is broken into four tiers based on each reseller’s specific business needs. Partners could build a simple, profitable partnership that supports their objectives starting at the entry-level, Authorized Reseller tier, which includes no volume agreements or minimum spend. Authorized Reseller status allows resellers to access resources, training and certification as well as promotional programs that give easy access to experiencing Xilica room solutions with their customers. As a partner’s business with Xilica evolves, Silver Partner, Gold Partner or Platinum Partner status can be unlocked — each with its own distinct set of rewards and incentives. All partners have access to the Xilica One Partner Portal, an online platform featuring demand generation resources, self- paced, co-marketing and marketing assets and lead/deal dashboards. Global internet bandwidth rose by 29 percent in 2021, in what could be considered a return to normal over the previous year ’s COVID-driven surge of 34 percent, said researchers at TeleGeography. Total international bandwidth now stands at 786 Tbps, representing a four-year CAGR of 29 percent. “All of the stay-at-home activity associated with COVID-19 last year resulted in a spike in traffic from 2019 to 2020,” said Alan Mauldin, a research director at TeleGeog- raphy, “As one may expect, the return to more normal usage patterns resulted in a substantial slowdown in the annual growth rate.” Average traffic growth dropped from 48 percent between 2019 and 2020 to 23 percent between 2020 and 2021, while peak traffic growth dropped from 46 percent to 26 percent during the same time period. “Yet again we find ourselves saying that capacity growth is visible across regions,” said Mauldin. “And, yet again, Africa experienced the most rapid growth of international internet bandwidth, growing at a compound annual rate of 45 percent between 2017 and 2021.” Oceania is just behind Africa, rising at a 38 percent compound annual rate during the same period. Xilica Launches Partner Program Inteliquent Goes Global Inteliquent, a provider of cloud communications platform solutions for voice, messaging and emergency services, is now offering international phone numbers and enhanced calling services in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Nether- lands, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Mexico. The move allows global enterprises and commu- nication service providers to expand their in-country presence by adding international telephone numbers and toll-free numbers for inbound and two-way calling plus emergency services (where available). Inteliquent is on an aggressive trajectory to launch international services in more than 50 countries covering Europe, Asia and Latin America during the next 18 months, said the company. This marks another significant milestone in the company’s market expansion, which, in the United States, recently reached 110 million numbers in service carrying more than 300 billion minutes of traffic annually. The announcement follows news from the beginning of the year in which Inteliquent entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Sinch, a global provider of cloud communications for mobile customer engagement. The acquisi- tion, which is expected to close in the second half of 2021, will broaden Sinch’s communications platform as a service (CPaaS) offering by combining both company’s strengths in voice and messaging solutions while powering a superior customer experience in the rapidly developing market for cloud communications. Inteliquent operates a tier 1 all-IP network with multiple layers of redundancy, comprised of 12,200 on-net rate centers. The network reaches more than 93 percent of the United States.
