Alliance of Channel Women Names Big Impact Winner for Q2 The Alliance of Channel Women, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology, announced Lita Vernick, senior director at Comcast Business, is the group’s second quarter Big Impact Winner. Honorees are chosen quarterly by ACW from nominees submitted by the channel community who are living the ACW Advocacy Pledge: Women Supporting Women. The ACW Advocacy Pledge Program was started in 2020 by the ACW Advocacy Committee (now the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee) to encourage women to support each other. The ACW Advocacy Pledge is “Behind Every Successful Woman is a Community of Successful Women Who Have Her Back.” ACW encourages women to go on record supporting the ACW Advocacy Pledge by signing its pledge page. In addition, the association encourages visitors to nominate women who are “living the pledge.” “Lita exemplifies the ACW advocacy pledge,” said Dalyn Wertz, executive director of Indirect Program and Marketing at Comcast Business, and one of the peers that nominated Vernick. “As a leader on the Comcast Business team, she has spent the last 10 years ensuring women are supported, coached, mentored and successful. She is constantly reaching out to show support, offer guidance and coaching. Lita is what makes the Indirect Program and team so unique and successful.” ICYMI Ohio-based Telesystem has launched a nationwide brand awareness marketing campaign centered around “trust.” The carrier ’s “IT’s About Trust” campaign, which officially went live August 1, highlights the importance of trust in IT solutions and focuses on the idea that technology is not perfect, may fail from time to time, and it’s important for businesses to choose a technology provider that they can trust to provide the highest level of support in the most difficult of times. The campaign includes newspaper and television spots in various markets, :15 and :30 second spots on various OTT digital platforms and websites, as well as search engine keyword and website retargeting ads. As part of the campaign, Telesystem is simultaneously launching a makeover of its website, with focused content demonstrating why businesses in each market segment trust Telesystem. Each landing page will feature vertically relevant statistics, case studies and testimonials from key customers. “As we move into an aggressive phase of growth that includes significant network expansion and groundbreaking new products, we feel that the time is right to amplify our brand with a strong and clear message - Trust,” said Telesystem chief revenue officer Bruce Wirt. “More than anything else, decision makers in the SME and enterprise sectors choose their technology provider for performance and peace of mind. They want a partner that will walk side by side with them through the most challenging times. Ultimately, they want a provider that brings them the best mix of technology combined with job security. They want to sleep well at night knowing their network is being cared for by a provider they trust.” Dell’Oro Group is expecting a boom in broadband spending across passive optical network (PON) equipment, fixed wireless CPE and cable distributed access equipment, pushing the market to $23.4 billion by 2026. “It is very clear that the pandemic has boosted the importance of fixed broadband services, not only to consumers but also to ISPs around the world,” Dell’Oro Group vice president and analyst Jeff Heynen told SDxCentral. PON revenue is set to grow to $13.6 billion by 2026, from $9.3 billion in 2021, with 10-gigabit symmetric passive optical network technology (XGS-PON) deployments across the globe as a driving catalyst. Fixed-wireless CPE revenues are expected to reach $5.1 billion during the forecast period largely led by 5G sub-6 GHz and 5G millimeter wave (mmWave) fixed-wireless access (FWA) unit shipments. Operators ramping DOCSIS 4.0 and fiber deployments will drive cable distributed access equipment revenue to nearly $1.3 billion by 2026. This includes virtual converged cable access platforms (CCAP), remote PHY devices, remote MACPHY devices and remote PON optical line terminals (OLTs).
