CV: Many people were surprised to see that the show moved from Scottsdale to the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale this year. What was the reason for the move? BK: After three successful years at Talking Stick Resort, it was time for a change. Our sponsors, exhibitors and attendees asked for a bigger space, nicer amenities and new social networking experiences. We listened and moved to a premier venue located in one of Arizona’s trendiest areas. Our team couldn’t be more excited about the future of CVxEXPO and our amazing new location. CV: Tell us more about Glendale. Is it close to Phoenix? BK: In June, Glendale was recognized as the “Best City for Business” by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Our location, in the Westgate Entertainment District, is a beautiful area that’s safe, clean and modern with many fun restaurants, bars and world-class shopping and experiences all within walking distance. It’s also a short drive from nearby Phoenix and Scottsdale, and just 20 miles away from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. CV: It’s no secret that CVxEXPO takes place the same week as Intelisys Channel Connect. What message do you have for attendees or exhibitors who are on the fence about which show to attend or exhibit in November? BK: November used to be a slow month for channel events. CVxEXPO changed everything. In recent years, more organizations have started hosting shows during this time, creating some overlap. However, we actually view this as a positive development for channel partners. Hosting CVxEXPO the same week as Intelisys reflects the overall strength and diversity of the channel. We’re excited to offer a distinct alternative for individuals and organizations looking to branch out from TSD and supplier events and tap into a different partner ecosystem.
