Snom always is looking to bolster the perception of its award-winning portfolio of office phones and other communications technology. Now, some new developments have pushed the company even more into the forefront than ever before. For starters, Snom’s M500 DECT System has been officially certified by Zoom Phone. The M500 DECT office phone system is designed to support user mobility by eschewing a traditional chord. That, plus it already offers features designed to extend audio quality, battery life and coverage range. Products in the family include the M500 DECT base station, which features unlimited scalability and several ease-of-use features, as well as the M55 and M58 phones. By integrating with the Zoom Phone telephony service offering, Snom’s M500 DECT will extend support for unique, seamless virtual interactions. As part of this collaboration, Snom gains access to another vital sales channel, while Zoom resellers can now make use of the M500’s unique feature set. Snom believes that the M500 DECT will revolutionize the Zoom Phone resellers channel and audience, which Zoom recently announced surpassed 5.5 million seats. This is, of course, not Snom’s first Zoom Phone certification. Earlier in 2023, Zoom also gave a nod to the D7XX Series VoIP desk phone set. This collection is designed to improve adaptability for use in in-office, hybrid and remote work scenarios. With partners such as Zoom, the hope is to better deliver high-quality products with the matching marketing support needed to drive adoption and balloon Snom’s own market acceptance within the reseller channel. “We are thrilled about this collaboration and the opportunity to showcase the Snom M500 DECT phone,” said Marc Magliano, Snom’s new vice president, channel business. “Our alliance with Zoom and our unwavering focus on the reseller channel emphasize our mission to lead in communication innovation.” Magliano, who has been touted by many as an “industry visionary,” is also newly announced to this position. As vice president of Snom’s channel business for the Americas, the executive is expected to facilitate Snom in continuing its seminal stride toward fostering robust channel and telecommunications reseller partnerships. It will also, many speculate, allow Snom to continue to prioritize innovation. Magliano has worked in channel sales and filled numerous distribution channel leadership positions during the course of his three-decade career, with experience in channel sales, management and marketing. This includes leadership roles overseeing several campaigns and strategies, including handling broad-line and boutique distribution to promote better market penetration. The appointment comes in conjunction with Snom’s recent initiatives for growing its channel strategy and nurturing strategic collaborations. Magliano’s proficiency in areas such as telecommunications, SaaS, VoIP, unified communications, SD-WAN and enterprise and OEM sales are expected to help better position Snom in the global marketplace. o For more information on Snom and its portfolio, visit www.snomamericas.com.
