48 CHANNELVISION | SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER 2024 New Horizon Communications (NHC) had a dominant run in 2024, earning supplier recognition from key TSDs and solidifying its place as THE Communications STACK Provider. This year NHC took home four ChannelVision 2024 Visionary Spotlight Awards, four major awards from Sandler Partners, a second consecutive AT&T Raise the Bar Award for production, and a third consecutive Verizon’s Partner Services Award. NHC is reaching new heights as one of the leading aggregators in North America with a robust network of more than 130 upstream providers. The company now offers access solutions for every application and location in the U.S. and Canada, and serves as a one-stop solution for software-defined networking and edge security. “We provide network access for any type of scenario, including 5G wireless backup, FWA and LEO satellite service,” said Glen Nelson, NHC’s vice president of marketing and business development. “Plus, we offer accessories like our proactive STACKguard service that can detect when broadband, wireless and DIA circuits fail, and automatically issue and manage trouble tickets. On top of that, our STACKedge solutions now deliver SD-WAN and security products from leading providers – opening the door to stickier sales and more recurring revenue.” NHC continues to invest in high-demand products and services designed to help partners serve customers and close more deals. For example, in April NHC announced a collaboration with Bigleaf Networks to expand its edge solutions with new products aimed at enhancing productivity, security and overall customer experience. And in September, NHC partnered with Check Point to enhance its security STACKedge solutions with Quantum network security appliances, bringing top-tier cybersecurity and network performance to businesses of all sizes. While NHC is rapidly growing, the company remains laser-focused on providing the highest level of customer service. According to Nelson, NHC’s emphasis on customer experience enables them to maintain a competitive monthly churn of less than 0.5 percent. A significant factor behind NHC’s exceptional service is their approach to hiring, training and retaining employees. This year, NHC grew its workforce by 10 percent. The company is also investing heavily in employee development through security training and remains committed to maintaining a strong and positive culture. “This year we brought on more technical talent to help us with our overlay and managed solutions delivery and service maintenance,” Nelson added. “We also added to our roster of talented channel managers to better support our growing list of TAs and TSDs coast to coast.” Heading into 2025, NHC will continue focusing on helping longtime POTS users navigate the complex migration process and explore alternative options. NHC is also encouraging its partners to “accessorize” their existing customers and prospects using solutions that increase location ARPU. “Our main message for partners right now is to look for ways to accessorize the circuit,” Nelson said. “NHC makes this easy, through pooled wireless backup for new and existing internet circuits as well as our STACKguard product which makes it possible to manage them on the customer’s behalf.” On Wed., Nov. 13, Glen Nelson will participate in a panel titled “Add ARPU by Accessorizing Your Access Sales” at CVxEXPO24 in Scottsdale. Nelson will explain how to add ARPU and stickiness to accounts by “accessorizing” core access sales – and how to boost your bottom line by cross-selling various solutions like wireless backup and circuit protection.
