10 WISPAPALOOZA SHOW I OCTOBER 9 – 12, 2023 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 2 L Z OO 2023 Intracom Telecom has a lot to show and share during WISPAPALOOZA, and it all deserves a little preview. First, Intracom’s trademarked WiBAS G5 provides long-range fixed wireless access while delivering gigabit connectivity. Leveraging the experience gained from the development of the WiBAS G5 evo-BS, Intracom Telecom developed techniques to enhance the density of subscribers and the speed of connection, for its WiBAS mmWave FWA portfolio. MU-MIMO and beamforming technology are being introduced on the 24.25-29.50 GHz TDD hub radio WiBAS G5 smart-BS. The subscriber density reaches 240 per hub and the available capacity goes up to 5Gbps using wide channels of 200MHz and high modulation schemes of 1024QAM. The signature feature of the WiBAS portfolio always has been the extended range. Terminal stations can be connected in cell edges that reach seven miles. The combination of WiBAS G5 smart-BS with GigaConnect terminal station boosts the capabilities of the solution since true Gigabit connectivity can be delivered to the subscriber. UltraLink-GX80 E-Band Radio Enables Longer 10Gbit/s link Ranges UltraLink-GX80 is a field proven, high-performance, E-Band (71-76 / 81-86 GHz) radio designed for use in demanding wireless transport cases as a cost-effective alternative to optical fiber. Being an easy to install and manage compact all-outdoor radio, it enables minimization of deployment footprint and total cost of ownership. UltraLink-GX80 supports a rich set of L2 and L3 networking features for the delivery of carrier Ethernet and IP/MPLS-based services. Its modem and RF transceiver technology deliver E-Band link ranges at 10 Gbit/s full-duplex capacity. Furthermore, it can be leveraged in dual band configurations, even with third-party MW radios, to upgrade the capacity of existing MW links or to deploy long range 10Gbit/s links. Italian EOLO expands with Intracom Telecom FWA equipment Italian fixed wireless access operator EOLO has selected Intracom Telecom to supply its WiBAS G5 dual-BS base station device for the expansion of its 28GHz wireless network across Italy. EOLO has been using the WiBAS platform since 2017 and the new base stations will offer double the subscriber capacity and three times the throughput compared to the previous generation. Intracom Telecom’s WiBAS G5 dual-BS platform can be leveraged by operators to build gigabit services through software upgrades and achieve download speeds equivalent to 5G. The device includes novel technologies for this category of devices, such as MU-MIMO. The provisioning process of the device is performed via uniMS SON Gateway, a software platform accelerating the service activation by automatically discovering terminals and instantly provisioning the subscription profile. m Visit Intracom Telecom at booth 335. In edge computing, scale is one of the paramount challenges businesses confront. While offering potential, edge computing also introduces a complex scaling dilemma. The deployment, management and maintenance of applications, virtual network functions, and containers across numerous remote locations and computing devices can be overwhelming. The intricacy of this challenge arises from multiple sources. First, it’s a matter of sheer numbers – the devices involved all have unique functions and requirements. Add to this the diversity of applications, vendors and networks, and the task becomes more daunting. Moreover, the total cost of ownership is a concern, as is the challenge of maintaining operational efficiency at scale. It’s a juggling act that keeps many in the industry awake. Compounding the issue, each layer in the management stack requires a different system for control and oversight. This fragmented approach creates a convoluted web of management tools, increasing the complexity as the number of sites and devices in the ecosystem grows. Telco Systems’ Edgility is a unified platform designed to simplify the intricate landscape of edge computing deployment, operation and maintenance. Edgility unravels the chaos, offering a streamlined solution that consolidates the management of network functions, business applications, and computing devices into a single, intuitive abstraction layer. All this is done with an open architecture supporting any application and any hardware. With Edgility, the task of managing your entire edge deployment becomes a seamless experience. Provisioning, monitoring and maintaining thousands of devices become effortless endeavors, saving you time and effort, and substantial resources. Imagine having the power to oversee your entire infrastructure through a unified interface. The headache of managing disparate systems and the confusion of navigating a diverse management stack have become things of the past. Edgility empowers you to take charge of your edge computing ecosystem so you can focus on launching services that drive profits back into your business. In a world where the complexity of scale is the greatest challenge, Edgility emerges as a beacon of simplicity and efficiency. It’s a tool that service providers have been waiting for, steering a path through the management mess, into a future where edge computing is harnessed with ease and precision. m For more information, visit booth 301.
