partners actually operate. Expect a shift to persona-based design, where programs respond to individual partner behavior, business models and growth patterns. Gartner reports that companies using persona-based personalization are 80 percent more likely to exceed partner revenue targets. This will only accelerate as AI guides each partner’s journey moment by moment, from onboarding to enablement to deal closure. 7. Compliance moves from the legal department into the product Regulatory pressure is real. With GDPR, CPRA and new AI-specific legislation, compliance must be embedded into every customer and partner experience and not buried in a PDF. Transparent data handling, explainable AI and real-time auditability will become product requirements, not policy guidelines. Vendors that embrace this will win trust in global markets. 8. Conversations beat collaboration tools Email is slow. Portals are ignored. Partners want to interact inside Slack, Teams or WhatsApp. Smart AI will meet them where they are, summarizing calls, writing recaps, scheduling meetings and syncing to CRM, all from inside the chat thread. In fact, Gartner predicts that by 2026, 60 percent of partner interactions will happen via conversational AI channels. The brands that feel embedded in the daily flow of partner work will build loyalty the old guard can’t touch. 9. Gut instinct is out; partner scoring is in The age of gut-driven enablement is over. AI will continuously evaluate partner performance based on deal impact, campaign engagement, technical certifications and even sentiment. According to Bain & Company, companies that adopt data-driven partner scoring models increase channel ROI by 40 percent on average. Think of it as Moneyball for partner ecosystems. And similar to baseball, the teams using data will win. 10. AI unlocks enterprise power for small partners Smaller partners have historically been left out of enterprise programs. AI changes that. Now, a three-person reseller can spin up an enterprise-grade campaign, create a full deck or analyze a pipeline with the click of a button. The bottom 80 percent of your channel just became your growth engine. We have moved past the age of blind automation. We’re in the age of intelligent orchestration where AI doesn’t just speed things up, it makes them smarter, more connected and more valuable. The vendors that embrace this shift will scale their ecosystems like never before. The ones who don’t? They’ll be stuck in years past while their competitors are playing five quarters ahead. o Daniel Nissan is the founder of channel marketing company Structured. 27 WINTER 2026 | CHANNELVISION
