With remote workforces on the rise, and likely here to stay, compa- nies are more vulnerable than ever to cyberattack. Theft of digital information has become the most reported fraud, surpassing physical theft. A recent Verizon Data Breach Report points to 81 percent of security breaches being traced to compromised credentials (usernames and passwords). The TraitWare solution reduces risk by eliminating the need for credentials, which simplifies and secures the endpoint login process. “With the rise of cybercrime around the globe, cybersecurity must be part of the IT planning process for compa- nies of all sizes,” said PlanetOne COO, Chris Werpy. “The TraitWare solution not only adheres to the strict- est security standards – built with zero trust at its core – but also improves user experience and reduces costs.” Internet and competitive networks association INCOMPAS announced that the Cloud Commu- nications Alliance (CCA) has joined INCOMPAS as an affiliate member. INCOMPAS affiliate members are comprised of non-profit and not-for- profit organizations that share the INCOMPAS commitment to ensur- ing competition in all aspects of the communications sector and seek to work together on key policy advocacy initiatives. “With a new administration enter- ing the White House and important issues teed up on Capitol Hill and at the Federal Communications Commission, it is vital that like- minded organizations collaborate and work to advance a pro-competition agenda,” said INCOMPAS CEO Chip Pickering. “INCOMPAS welcomes CCA as our newest affiliate member, and we look forward to working with the alliance and its members toward our common goals.” BCM One has acquired SkySwitch, a leading white-label UCaaS provider based in Tampa, Fla. The acquisition allows BCM One to expand its UCaaS offerings and grow its channel audience reach. SkySwitch is among several recent acquisition to be integrated into BCM One, joining nexVortex, SIP. US, SIPTrunk LincLogix, and Arena One. This furthers the company’s ongoing investment in its voice and collaboration services and contin- ues the growth initiative spurred by Thompson Street Capital Partners’ 2019 recapitalization of the business. The SkySwitch leadership, wholesale sales, and support teams will become part of BCM One. This acquisition expands BCM One’s geographic footprint to include a fifth office location, this one in Tampa. INCOMPAS Welcomes Cloud Communications Alliance as Affiliate Member Momentum Telecom has joined forces with Sandler Partners to offer Momentum’s portfolio of solutions to its network of technology sales partners across North America.
