The partnership gives Mapcom customers access to Dynetics’ cyber-risk management tool, SelfAssure. Dynetics has more than 16 years of experi- ence in information systems security, and unique experience conducting simulated cyberattacks that rigorously test clients’ cybersecurity. The condensation of that experience has resulted in the tailored and automated online cyber-risk management tool, SelfAssure. SelfAssure is a cloud-based tool that assesses the effectiveness of implemented cybersecurity controls and provides specific recommendations for mitigating identified weaknesses. Each recom- mendation is accompanied by five decision aids to help clients build a prioritized action plan. In addition, assessed strengths and weakness are mapped to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. “With more than 190 telecommunications customers in 44 states and several international locations, Mapcom recognizes the seriousness of the threats that face all telecommunications providers,” said Chuck Flournoy, president of Mapcom. “We have worked closely with Dynetics to ensure our clients have access to the best tools and expertise available so they can analyze their individual risk factors and implement plans to mitigate these potentially disruptive threats. We always try to think proactively about our customers’ needs – so it is only natural that we would seek to provide assistance to them in this critical arena.” All clients active in Mapcom’s maintenance and support program will be granted 12 months of access to SelfAssure. “Dynetics is passionate about helping clients be successful against cyber threats,” said Greg Jackson, senior cybersecurity advisor at Dynetics. “SelfAssure captures our expertise in an online tool so others can easily benefit. Through our collaboration with Mapcom, Dynetics looks forward to sharing our exper- tise with a growing number of broadband providers.” p A TL Communications (Table 600) has been named the winner of the first-ever Advo- cacy Award for the toll-free industry at the Somos annual conference.
