INCOMPAS Fall 2017 - Day 1 Show Daily

www. INCOMPAS .org « 1 3 » www.bekapublishing.com DAY 1 Multapplied Networks Provides Free SD-WAN Trial to All Service Providers M ultapplied Networks (Networking Table 4) is handing out free trials of its SD-WAN technology, via 250 USB keys. The keys have Multapplied technology installed as a bootable image file, which has been coupled with web-based automation to guide service providers through a series of tests designed to showcase the technology’s function- ality and the ease with which a solution can be deployed to end customers. “We’re proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in this space already,” said Cameron Couch, vice president of Business Development. “We believe the stage is set for more service providers to grow their service and product port- folios with our technology.” The company is courting prospective partners, Couch added: “We want to be included in your SD-WAN vendor selection decisions. Picking a vendor in this space isn’t easy for service providers – they first have to find the ones that have the features they need, then procure the vendor’s hardware, pay for devices in some cases, and then they have to book a few hours to run tests that the vendor controls. That’s not right, and our plan is to give service providers the tools to set up a lab, configure a device and test the functionality them- selves, so they get can get a real sense of how the technology performs.” The service’s features include link aggregation, seamless failover, 4G/LTE support, end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS), local internet breakout, zero-touch provisioning, and the brandable, web- based command and control portal. “The timing is right for us to get involved in the SD-WAN space,” Couch said. “We have many of the features end customers truly need.” Today at 1 p.m., Couch will participate in a panel discussion entitled SD-WAN: Killer App in the Making, to discuss the future of the category. p Are gaps in your footprint the elephant in the room?
