« 4 » THE INCOMPAS SHOW I OCTOBER 15 - 17, 2017 www.bekapublishing.com DAY 1 New Hampshire Judicial Branch Selects FirstLight as Internet and Data Center Provider T he New Hampshire Judicial Branch has selected FirstLight (Silver Sponsor and Meeting Room 8) to provide internet and data center services for its system of 82 courts in 38 locations throughout the Granite State. The New Hampshire Judicial Branch loca- tions include supreme, superior, district, family and probate courts, collectively providing IT services to approximately 700 employees. The New Hampshire Judicial Branch selected FirstLight because of its wide- ranging experience in providing connectivity and data center services to other government agencies throughout its footprint, the organi- zation said. FirstLight’s proven track record of facilitating seamless interconnection with other carriers also was an appealing factor to the court system. FirstLight’s Manchester, N.H., data center provides the New Hampshire Judicial Branch with enterprise-class security and disaster recovery for the continuity of its mission-crit- ical operations and support of its cloud-based applications. The data center’s close proximity to the offices is also an advantage, as tech- nicians from both organizations are able to collaborate in order to ensure maximum reli- ability, uptime and security. “We chose FirstLight for its established, locally based data center, which is within easy reach of our technicians,” said Matthew Seaton, CIO for the court system. “The facility provides best-in-class security, power genera- tion, power backup and server room cooling capability. FirstLight has continually provided prompt, professional support and competi- tively priced services. We are currently going through an extensive network redesign, which includes substantial additions to our network topology, and FirstLight has been a key partner every step of the way.” The court system also relies on FirstLight for connectivity of all courts to its central enter- prise software systems and e-government applications, along with scalable, high-speed internet services. “FirstLight is honored to serve the New Hampshire Judicial Branch to meet its unique needs and assist in its network growth,” said Kurt Van Wagenen, president and CEO of FirstLight. “Security and uptime are key concerns for government organizations, and we provide comprehensive, reliable solutions that ensure their mission-critical applications are not compromised.” FirstLight serves several state and local governments, as well as municipalities, offering secure and compliant connectivity solutions that enable them to address and overcome today’s technology challenges. p What’s New at The INCOMPAS Show T his year, The INCOMPAS Show is collocating with the Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association (NEDAS), a consortium of in-building wireless solution providers, which is hosting the NEDAS San Francisco Symposium on Tuesday, October 17.
