INCOMPAS SHOW DAILY - DAY 2 -2026

10 THE INCOMPAS SHOW I NOVEMBER 1 - 3, 2026 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 2 Lumen and Snowflake Seek to Simplify Private Data Connectivity for Enterprises Arvig Introduces Wi-Fi 7 Technology Lumen Technologies and Snowflake announced an intent to collaborate on helping enterprises simplify how they move, control and secure data across modern enterprise environments. The companies will combine Lumen’s programmable networking capabilities with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud to help customers streamline how data is connected, governed and activated across analytics, applications and AI use cases. The collaboration reflects Lumen’s strategy to build a trusted network for AI by combining world-class infrastructure, a programmable network and a growing ecosystem of technology partners. Enterprises are accelerating AI investments but often struggle to connect and move data securely across clouds, data centers and enterprise locations. Lumen and Snowflake intend to make that path smoother by leveraging Snowflake’s Data Connectivity Proxy (DCP), a secure connectivity layer designed to be pre-installed on Lumen infrastructure that allows data to move over Lumen’s private fiber networks. Customers can already leverage integrated Lumen and Snowflake capabilities to support secure data connectivity across hybrid enterprise environments. Lumen and Snowflake plan to build on that foundation by exploring additional opportunities to make private connections easier to establish and manage across the enterprise data ecosystem. Lumen’s world-class fiber infrastructure, programmable network and digital services provide a foundation for secure private data connectivity across complex enterprise environments. By bringing automation, orchestration, adaptability and control into the network itself, Lumen can help give enterprises greater control over how data moves and workloads shift across locations, data centers and clouds. Combined with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, these capabilities are intended to help customers make more business-critical data securely accessible for analytics and AI. Snowflake and Lumen currently share hundreds of customers—an enterprise footprint that gives the companies a natural path to address the next AI and data challenges. As AI drives greater data movement across clouds, data centers, and distributed environments, private connectivity is becoming increasingly important to enterprise architecture. The companies intend to bring the network and data layers closer together so customers can establish secure, repeatable private connections across more locations and environments. p Stop by the Bass meeting room to connect with Lumen. Arvig, a Minnesota-based telecommunications provider, recently rolled out Wi-Fi 7 technology delivering nextgeneration wireless connectivity. The network-wide upgrade enhances wireless speed, capacity and connection stability for highdensity environments operating multiple connected devices simultaneously, such as smartphones, laptops, smart televisions and security systems. The transition to Wi-Fi 7 introduces several enhancements to Arvig’s wireless coverage: • Increased Network Capacity: Wi-Fi 7 expands available bandwidth channels, allowing highdemand activities—such as high-definition streaming, remote work and online gaming—to run concurrently without network congestion. • Multi-Lane Data Routing: The technology transmits data across multiple frequency bands simultaneously. If signal interference or physical barriers occur, devices automatically use alternative signal paths to prevent service interruptions or dropped calls. • Faster Response Time: Streamlined data processing minimizes lag, supporting faster download speeds and real-time cloud communications. • Fiber Speed Integration: The performance upgrades allow subscribers to fully utilize multigigabit fiber-optic speeds wirelessly across entire residential or commercial structures. New and existing subscribers can access Wi-Fi 7 capabilities through Arvig’s Managed Wi-Fi service. The package includes professional installation, ongoing local technical support and network management options via a mobile application. p Arvig is located in Meeting Lounge 203. FiberLight announced a major expansion of its West Texas network strategy with plans to construct a high-capacity duct and fiber corridor from Midland toward El Paso, Texas. Building on FiberLight’s $500 million investment in the West Texas project, the roughly 300-route-mile development will strengthen regional resiliency, support growing hyperscale data center demand, and provide additional connectivity options. The expansion is structured around a phased build-out that extends FiberLight’s West Texas footprint westward toward El Paso. The initial construction phase focuses on a 150-mile segment extending west from Pecos toward McNary, Texas, with completion targeted for late 2027. In parallel, FiberLight has begun construction and overbuild activity on a 50-mile route segment adjacent to and connecting into this corridor, stretching south from Monahans past Fort Stockton, Texas. A planned third phase would extend connectivity into Las Cruces, N.M., creating a foundation for potential long-haul expansion toward Phoenix. Once complete, the corridor will enable continuous, high-count fiber and dense duct capacity from Dallas through West Texas toward El Paso. As an independent, highcapacity route, it will extend FiberLight’s West Texas fiber ring and Dallas connectivity while strengthening the company’s broader Texas footprint and network resiliency. p FiberLight is located at Meeting Lounge 402 and Deal Center Table 19.
