12 THE INCOMPAS SHOW I OCTOBER 20 - 22, 2024 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 1 DAY 1 Connectbase and PAXIO Strengthen Partnership Connectbase, the global ecosystem for buying and selling connectivity, announced its continued collaboration with PAXIO, a premier last-mile fiber network provider in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since joining the Connectbase ecosystem in 2020, PAXIO has significantly expanded its network footprint, adding 10,000 route miles of fiber to better serve the region’s growing demand for high-speed, high-bandwidth connectivity. PAXIO, established in 2003, has a strong reputation for delivering top-tier connectivity and transport services, including internet, Ethernet, dark fiber and the upcoming Wave service, which is due in the second quarter of 2025. As PAXIO continues to expand, Connectbase has played a vital role in streamlining the process of quoting and selling PAXIO’s services to wholesale buyers, ensuring that accurate and timely information is always available. Through the Connectbase platform, PAXIO has updated its serviceable areas to provide enhanced visibility to potential buyers, allowing them to quickly identify where PAXIO’s highperformance fiber services are available. In addition, Connectbase continues to perform near-net analysis for PAXIO, providing updated insights into locations that are near-net, further expanding PAXIO’s reach and serviceability. “Our platform is designed to help providers like PAXIO efficiently scale their operations, connect with more buyers and ultimately deliver exceptional connectivity solutions to their customers,” said Ben Edmond, founder and CEO of Connectbase. “The success of our partnership with PAXIO is a testament to the power of real-time, accurate data in driving growth and customer satisfaction.” Connectbase is committed to enabling connectivity providers like PAXIO to overcome the challenges of last-mile access and meet the evolving needs of today’s digital economy. As PAXIO continues to grow its footprint, Connectbase remains dedicated to providing the tools and insights necessary to ensure that their services are easily accessible to those who need them most. p For more information about Connectbase and its ecosystem members, visit www.connectbase.com. eX² Technology Inks Multi-Year Partnership with Livingston County eX² Technology, a Vivacity company, was selected by Livingston County, Mich., to provide network infrastructure commercialization services for its middle-mile fiber optic network under a five-year term with the option for two extensions of three years each. In 2022, Livingston County selected eX² Technology to design and build a $15 million, 120-mile middle-mile fiber optic network to connect its municipal buildings and educational facilities, and install micro-conduit to support last-mile connections to homes and businesses. With expected completion approaching in the Spring of 2025, the company is now conducting pre-marketing activities for Livingston County’s micro-conduit and dark fiber assets on an open access, competitively neutral basis. “We are honored to have been selected as Livingston County’s commercialization partner and to continue our long-term relationship to help bring connectivity to its communities,” said Jay Jorgensen, COO of eX² Technology. “Through our partnership, we will make it our mission to seek out and bring third-party carrier, service provider and other relationships to the table to ultimately deliver high-quality, highly accessible, affordable broadband to Livingston County and bridge the gap of unserved and underserved areas.” The network and its partners will provide essential connectivity for education, healthcare and other verticals. High-speed internet access will also boost local businesses and attract new opportunities to create jobs. According to Livingston County CIO Kristoffer Tobbe, commercializing the area’s middle-mile network will represent a significant milestone “We’re excited to see how the network will be leveraged to its full potential to foster new connections, enhance community development, and empower local businesses and residents with the connectivity they need to thrive,” Tobbe said. p To meet with eX² Technology, visit Show Floor Meeting Lounge 203. Vetting Agents Vetting Agents perform rigorous vetting and validation of all registrant information, including confirmation of registrant identity and telephone numbers and vetting caller display names, logos, and call reasons. Signing Agents Signing Agents generate the cryptographic signature on the SHAKEN PASSporT that confirms a BCID call has been properly vetted and validated by an Authorized Partner. Originating Service Providers An Originating Service Provider (OSP) might have a broad range of enterprise customers who want to brand their calls to improve answer rates and increase customer engagement. The OSP might act as an Onboarding Agent to provision BCID for their customers as an add-on service. Terminating Service Providers The customers of a Terminating Service Provider (TSP) want to know who’s calling and to trust the brand information displayed. When a TSP joins the BCID ecosystem, presents the branded calling information to their subscriber, and reports this to the BCID platform, they get paid for this service. Imagine replacing CNAM expense with BCID display revenue. In tomorrow’s INCOMPAS Show Daily, we will continue our overview of BCID services. p TransNexus offers software for telecom service providers to manage and protect their telecom networks, including STIR/SHAKEN. TransNexus is an Authorized Signing Agent in the BCID ecosystem. To learn more, visit TransNexus in Kiosk 2. (Continued from page 11)
