Building on recent Arelion network investments, high-bandwidth EVPL gives customers the flexibility and reliability of multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) with the simplicity and security of private Ethernet network connections. The announcement means that 20, 30 and 40Gbps Layer 2 point-to-point Ethernet EVPL services can be ordered and delivered easily on Arelion’s network within weeks, subject to surveys. With Arelion’s network “build for capacity” approach and 100GE interfaces available, customers can combine services including IP transit, cloud connect, dedicated internet access and internet exchange (IX) connect, on a single port with Arelion’s multiple services on one port (MSOP) technology, making the management simpler and more cost-effective. The 40Gbps services form part of Arelion’s long-term network investment goals to ensure customers have access to the network services and bandwidth needed to meet the growing demands of their digital transformation strategies and the needs of teams and end users across the globe. To this end, the 40Gbps services are terminated on 100GE network interfaces to remove the potential for bottlenecks and support future bandwidth needs. All Ethernet services from Arelion are MEF 3.0 certified. p You can learn more about Arelion’s Ethernet services at Deal Center Table 7 or visit www. arelion.com. Connectivity marketplace platform Connectbase raised $21 million in its Series C funding round, led by DigitalBridge Ventures, the InfraTech initiative of DigitalBridge Group Inc. Connectbase secured the equity investment to drive growth of its platform, fueled by the increasing global appetite for bandwidth. Existing Connectbase investors participated in the funding round, including Ascent Venture Partners, Harbert Growth Partners, Nauta Capital and Osage Venture Partners. Led by founder and CEO Ben Edmond, Connectbase is a marketplace that enables connectivity service providers access to the industry’s leading location data platform and associated workflows. The platform enables network sellers to connect, automate and price to drive growth, and the platform enables buyers to find new partners, connect and automate their quoting and ordering processes with insight. Connectbase digitizes and transforms the experience to enable buyers to directly connect to their ecosystem of service providers at scale. The latest funding will be used to enhance the company’s Connected World platform capabilities, expand digital services into more global markets and grow its team – including its go-to-market organization. Connectbase also will expand its plan-to-order workflow capabilities to drive integration and insight for service provider users and to launch its new user interface to further enhance the user experience. “Buying and selling network connectivity has been a slow, manual and laborintensive process for far too long, impacting the customer experience, profitability and growth of the market,” said Edmond. “We launched Connectbase to solve that pain point by bringing together automation, location intelligence and an ever-expanding connected ecosystem. As a partner to the connectivity ecosystem, we help service providers execute the right deals, with trust and confidence, faster than ever.” p Visit Connectbase at Plaza Court 4, booth 103 in the Expo Hall or go to its website at www.connectbase.com Connectbase Raises $21 Million in Series C Funding Arelion Sets New Standard for 40Gbps Ethernet
