With the rising complexities come higher stakes for IT staffs and their companies. Failure is simply not an option, and security execu- tives and experts are betting, or at least hoping, emerging technologies such as the triumvirate of artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation can keep them one hand ahead of the bad guys. Despite the nascent stage of development and the market, 64 percent of IT profes- sionals surveyed already say new technologies such as these are needed to discover and understand threats that are active in their IT infra- structures.
