icymi Nitel has unveiled its new brand, complete with a new logo, website and tagline of “smarter technology made simple.” The brand is reflec- tive of partner and customer feed- back and centers around simplifying complex technology challenges for today’s enterprise organizations so they can operate with greater produc- tivity and have the freedom to focus on other critical business issues, said the company. Nitel introduced the new brand to partners in April to help prepare them for the transition. The company has spent the past four months evangeliz- ing the new brand with partners and ensuring they have the knowledge and resources they need to commu- nicate their value-driven messaging with customers. In related news, Nitel has formed a strategic partnership with Nextiva, providing agents and customers with a solution for their network and unified communication needs. The compa- nies will marry network services such as Nitel’s SD-WANs and managed security services with Nextiva’s plat- form for hosted voice, CRM and live chat support tools and online survey software solutions. ScanSource has announced the acquisition of Canpango, a company providing global services includ- ing Salesforce configuration and implementation, business process consulting, training and education, application development, data mi- gration and reporting. Partners of both companies can now easily build out their CRM ca- pabilities and professional services offerings. CRM is essential for a suc- cessful customer experience and the gateway to other opportunities. With Canpango, partners can uncover and expedite revenue streams and oppor- tunities, such as CRM and customer support solutions integrated directly with CCaaS and UCaaS. Matt Lautz, along with the Can- pango team, will join ScanSource. Lautz will lead Canpango as Scan- Source’s CRM and business process consulting practice. Pax8 Announces Ken Patterson Director of Community Ken Patterson has joined Pax8 and will serve as director of community. He will report to Jen- nifer Bodell, vice president of channel at Pax8. Patterson previously served as executive vice president of Techevolu- tion where he managed operations and processes for the sales and marketing departments.
