VSA Award Winners 2018

LG OLED Wallpaper commercial display represents a whole new way to showcase eye-catching content for an unparalleled viewing experience, said the company. Widely considered the most unique new digital signage display in years, the first commercial LG OLED Wallpaper employs LG’s award-winning proprietary OLED technology and builds on the momentum of the razor-thin form factor featured in the “Wallpaper” TV unveiled at CES 2018. The display can be mounted either vertically or hori- zontally for a customizable design. Ultra-slim mounting brackets with a magnetic mat create a seamless design that becomes one with the wall. Electronic components are housed in a separate control box con- nected with a two-meter cable. “[This] has created an en- tirely new high-end category of displays that delivers an awe-inspiring picture unlike any LCD/LED display,” the com- pany said. “LG OLED commercial displays empower business owners with the best picture quality on the market and provide even greater creative installation flexibility, making them perfect for any sophisticated dig- ital signage environment.” Telesystem , meanwhile, has added comprehensive dis- tributed denial of service (DDoS) threat protection to its network infrastructure, capable of inspecting, detecting and defending in real time. A DDoS attack is an attempt to make an online service unavailable by overwhelming it with traffic from multiple sources. They target a wide variety of important resources, from banks to news websites, and present a major challenge to allowing people to publish and access important information. “The difference in our security offering is that we actively provide always-on, in-line DDoS-mitigated Ethernet circuits at extremely competitive price points,” Telesystem said. “Because of the bundled offering, this service is also eligible for ERATE re- imbursement. Backed by industry-leading threat intelligence, businesses can be confident that our defense system is proactively improving their secu- rity infrastructure.” The network protection includes defense against bots, botnets and other harmful traffic, unwanted and excessive traffic bans, malicious IP address blocking and advanced reporting and monitoring. Telesystem also won a VSA in the Multilocation Deployment category in the enterprise awards section. As for YipTel , the company is making waves with its latest business platform, YipTel REACH for simplified SMS/MMS. With YipTel REACH, you can use your busi- ness phone number as a text-based auto attendant. “In todays’ competitive marketplace, it’s impera- tive to show your customers that your business is on the cutting edge of technology and communications by engaging your clients where they live - on their cell phone,” YipTel commented. “With enhanced features such as inbound text routing and outbound text automation, YipTel REACH can easily put your business at the forefront to the conversation of the future.” Using YipTel REACH, it’s possible to improve customer satisfaction; engage with custom- ers more on their cell phones; increase sales through automated texts; maintain the con- text of customer con- versations through his- torical interaction views; save time with pre-set responses and images for texts; and take control of where text conversations go by utilizing the ITR (Interactive Text Response) feature to route customers when they text for assistance. TPx also had a noteworthy breakthrough with its MSx Managed SD-WAN solution, which leverages the latest SD-WAN technology. Its transport flexibility enables the nationwide availability of MSx, UCx and TPx services over TPx or customer-provided internet access. TPx’s SD-WAN technology resides in the managed services router and SD-WAN gateways inside of the TPx network. “The most powerful use case we have is the ability to support an OTT circuit anywhere in the country with an MSR and a 4G LTE active/standby connection,” the company pointed out. “It is economical, flexible and redundant — and it is about as close to an easy button for connecting any location to a customer VPN as you can get. For OTT, we call the third-party provider when their circuit is unavailable on the customer’s behalf. We will open the trouble ticket and own it until the cir- cuit issue is resolved, and notify you when your third- party connection is down.” 7 2018 VISIONARY SPOTLIGHT AWARDS | CHANNEL VISION
