FiberLight was responsible for connecting one data center and three towers so that residents in Fulshear, Wallis and Simonton, Texas, can receive high-speed internet access through Encompass North America. In building off of its recent success across the state of Texas, FiberLight now provides Encom- pass customers with the ability to tap into its state-of-the-art fiber ring to address the needs of local customers that are looking for a wide variety of carrier and connectivity options. Encompass is providing superior internet and related services to rural customers that have been underserved by large providers. Connecting every customer to what matters most to them, wirelessly, is leveling the connectivity playing field for residents outside of major metropolitan areas. FCC data shows that currently only 44 percent of U.S. residents have access to fiber networks, and in Texas nearly 56 percent of households have no broadband access. On the heels of the COVID pandemic, high-speed internet access has proven to be a core differen- tiating factor to those looking to access services, attend school and perform their jobs remotely.
