WWW. WISPA .ORG 7 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 2 C learfield, Inc., a specialist in fiber management for communication service providers, announced at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 the addition of a small form factor FLATdrop cable to its port- folio of FieldShield fiber pathway solutions. This small form factor FLATdrop option is purpose-built to provide a flexible, compact, cost-effective method to connect the fiber access point in either buried or aerial fiber deployment scenarios, said the company. The reduced sheath jacket dimensions of the small form factor FLATdrop allows a one-third space savings in coil diameter — important for aesthetics at the installation site. “Clearfield’s success stems from our focus on listening to customers and developing products that enable them to overcome the common chal- lenges associated with fiber deployment,” said Kevin Morgan, chief marketing officer at Clearfield. “We recognized the need to develop a smaller, more flexible yet self-supporting FLATdrop solu- tion that reduces the environmental impact of fiber deployment, can be deployed in any environment and enables more efficient inventory storage – saving contractors and installers time and space.” Clearfield’s FieldShield Small Form Factor FLATdrop peelable cable contains a 900-micron subunit that can be terminated with either a hard- ened fiber optic connector (HFOC) assembly or a pre-connectorized SC pushable connector. Unlike other FLATdrops in the market, this product can be placed in any-and-all environments including direct bury, in conduit, aerial lashed and even aerial self-supporting, which can reduce expen- sive real estate challenges such as pole usage. This peelable cable allows for tool-less, precise stripping of the outer jacket to remove excess material, easing storage of the 900-micron termi- nated ends onto FieldShield slack reels. Clearfield’s small form factor FLATdrop is currently available for shipment. m Visit Clearfield at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #314 or go to www.seeclearfield.com. B EC Technologies Inc., a leading devel- oper and manufacturer of 4G LTE and 5G NR wireless broadband network connectivity solutions, today unveiled a new addition to the RidgeWave series of 4G LTE outdoor routers, the MaxRange 7000 R26. The high-performance solution delivers secure and resilient communication for industries supporting demanding applications in challenging or harsh environments, said the company. The MaxRange 7000 R26 has achieved tier 1 carrier certification, including FCC Part 96 end-user device authorization for Band 48 OnGo CBRS networks. It is immediately available for oil & gas, utilities, mining, transportation hubs and other industries that require mission-critical network connectivity. Operators seeking to accelerate and simplify the deployment of new applications and services over public carrier networks or private networks across licensed spectrum assets and CBRS shared spectrum need to look no further than the MaxRange 7000 R26. The solution integrates Gigabit LTE Category 18 capable of 1.2Gbps download and 150Mbps upload peak data rates, FDD and TDD carrier aggregation up to 5CA DL / 2CA UL, high gain 4X4 MIMO for increased capacity and extended coverage, and 256 QAM for higher throughput. Unique to BEC devices are Gore vents for pressure equalization, humidity and airflow, accompanied by lighting/ESD protection and the IP68/UL 50E enclosure to ensure protection against dirt, harmful ingress of water, humidity and extreme temperatures for years of depend- able operation. The MaxRange 7000 R26 operates seam- lessly with BECentral, BEC’s cloud manage- ment platform, as a complete solution for managing large-scale UE deployments. Administrators have access to real-time device management and control, proactive alerts and notifications, data connectivity management, robust analytics and reporting, full lifecycle management and API extensibility. m Visit BEC Technologies at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #453 or contact the company at sales@bectechnologies.net.
