1 4 WISPAPALOOZA SHOW I OCTOBER 11 - 14, 2021 www.bekabusinessmedia.com L Z OO 2021 DAY 3 RTA Adds Net3 ISP to Growing Rural Internet Footprint Power & Tel Plants 10,000 Trees R ural Telecommunications of America, Inc. (RTA) recently completed its acquisition of Net3 ISP, a rural fiber and wireless internet service provider (WISP) located in Odessa/Midland, Texas. Net3 ISP serves residential and commercial customers in the Odessa, Midland, Greenwood, Gardendale and Crane areas. With this acquisition, RTA continues its expansion across rural America, as part of its strategy to narrow the digital divide between rural and urban America. RTA brings significant value to these rural areas by providing affordable modern broadband services such as gigabit broadband speeds, VoIP, IPTV and IoT “Working with RTA has been an absolute pleasure. We are so excited about the ability to now bring new and improved internet services to our community such as fiber-to-the-home,” said Malynda Nowell, president of Net3 ISP. “The acquisition of Net3 ISP is yet another step forward for growing the RTA family,” said Donald Workman, chairman of RTA. “RTA will leverage the work Net3 ISP began over 40 years ago and expand its service offerings and footprint.” m Visit RTA at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #544 or go to www.rta4all.com. P ower & Tel has teamed up with a group of suppliers to plant 10,000 trees in North America. The other companies involved include ADTRAN, AFL, Clearfield, Comtrend, Corning, Fujitsu, MacLean Network Solutions, Preformed Line Products (PLP) and Superior Essex. The latest forest fire season on the West Coast has been extreme. Reforestation is one of the best ways to restore a healthy environment after fire damage. Power & Tel’s donation of 10,000 trees will be used in the refor- estation efforts in Oregon and the surrounding region. Oregon’s Bootleg fire is the largest in the U.S. so far in 2021, with more than 400,000 acres already burned. These trees planted are native to the West Coast and include some of the world’s most interesting and valuable tree species: pine, spruce, fir, hemlock, western red cedar, giant sequoia, oak and sycamore. This positive environmental impact was made possible through One Tree Planted ( onetreeplanted.org) , a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. m Visit Power & Tel at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #722 or go to www.ptsupply.com.
