2 0 WISPAPALOOZA SHOW I OCTOBER 11 - 14, 2021 www.bekabusinessmedia.com L Z OO 2021 DAY 3 Cumberland Connect Leverages Calix Marketing for Seamless Omnichannel Marketing C umberland Connect said it has more than doubled adoption of new revenue- generating services in just four months with the help of Calix’s EDGE Suites. In addi- tion, Cumberland Connect is achieving email campaign open rates of up to 70 percent by implementing the integrated Calix Marketing Cloud and Mailchimp solution. These open rates are 250 percent higher than the telecom- munications industry average of 20 percent — and represent a dramatic increase over their previous rates. Cumberland Connect is a subsid- iary of Cumberland Electric Member Corpora- tion, one of the largest electric cooperatives in the United States. Cumberland Connect is now seamlessly sharing audience segments, augmented with behavioral data, from Marketing Cloud directly with Mailchimp, in just a few clicks. Campaign results are in turn shared back into Marketing Cloud. This enables Cumberland Connect to seamlessly manage contact lists, create targeted messaging, and run email campaigns for premium managed Wi-Fi services delivered via the Revenue EDGE to its more than 10,000 members. As a result, Cumberland Connect can generate effective end-to-end email marketing campaigns for new services and engage with existing subscribers. The seamless integration of Marketing Cloud with Mailchimp enables Cumberland Connect to streamline and simplify the plan- ning, creation and execution of omnichannel marketing campaigns. These include mobile notifications delivered to the CCFiber SmartIQ app — the branded version of CommandIQ with an attachment rate that has grown exponentially during the past year. According to the company, Cumberland Connect’s previous Mailchimp email campaigns averaged an open rate of 43 percent. With the integrated Marketing Cloud and Mailchimp plat- forms, engagement rates soared 63 percent higher than before on targeted campaigns, with plans to tailor offerings for premium managed Wi-Fi tiers to members who regularly exceed their usage limits. Adoption of its recently launched Peace of Mind package, which provides Cumber- land Connect members with home network secu- rity and advanced parental controls, has more than doubled in just four months. “As avid Mailchimp users, we were delighted when Calix announced this integration and wasted no time putting it to use, with incred- ible results so far,” said Kaitlyn Bonds, creative director for Cumberland Connect. “With turnkey marketing solutions that drive high-impact results across the business, Calix enables us to continu- ously raise the bar to create an even more memo- rable and customized managed Wi-Fi experience for our members. As a result, our marketing oper- ations have realized tremendous ROI.” A Calix customer since 2019, Cumberland Connect delivers its premium managed Wi-Fi experience to members over a fiber broadband network powered by the Calix Network Innova- tion Platform (AXOS) and its Intelligent Access EDGE. As a result, it was able to complete its end-to-end network integration 83 percent faster than the industry standard. Cumber- land Connect is also leveraging Calix Services to accelerate deployment and maximize opera- tional efficiency — turning up more than 130 members each week. “We continue to be impressed with the success of Cumberland Connect and the way they embrace go to market innovation,” said Matt Collins, chief marketing officer and executive vice president of commercial operations at Calix. “They’ve mastered simpli- fied marketing processes that help identify new opportunities to connect with members, improve their experience and drive adoption of personalized offerings.” m Visit Calix at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #321 or go to www.calix.com. C eragon Networks Ltd., a provider of 5G wireless transport, has secured a multi-million-dollar contract to design and supply a microwave network in Indonesia as part of an ambitious govern- ment project to provide internet and telecom access to rural areas in the country, including schools, government offices and hospitals. In this project, Ceragon is the primary vendor selected to provide the wire- less transmission solutions for the 4G LTE access network, including design and project management services. With 16,056 islands, extreme humidity that ranges between 70% to 90%, and heavy rain- fall, the project poses a challenge for Indonesia in the achievement of its Universal Service Obli- gation goal. Ceragon’s solutions and services will help finish the project on time. Ceragon’s all-outdoor microwave solutions, based on the IP-20 platform, will contribute to cost savings on site construction thanks to its small footprint and minimum power consump- tion, said the company. Its Advance Space Diversity (ASD) solution will optimize the tower load in addition to saving overall logistic costs and speed up the construction schedule. Ceragon’s ASD solution requires fewer total antennas compared to other providers, creating a competitive advantage for both Ceragon and its customers. “We are very excited to participate in proj- ects that are aligned with our vision to enable equal digital opportunities to all citizens of the world,” said Doron Arazi, CEO of Ceragon Networks. “As governments around the world intensify rural digitization, our all-outdoor high performance, low total cost of owner- ship products and our expertise in providing full turnkey solutions position us as a leading vendor to win such projects. We have a strong presence in Indonesia, including long- term experience deploying our solutions in the country. I believe it is our reputed high-value technology, designed to save costs which is critical in such projects, that has differentiated us from our competition.” m Visit Ceragon Networks at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 at booth #553 or go to www.ceragon.com.
