6 WISPAPALOOZA SHOW I OCTOBER 11 - 14, 2021 www.bekabusinessmedia.com L Z OO 2021 DAY 3 Z yxel Communications, an industry-leading provider of secure broadband networking, internet access and connected home prod- ucts, has earned OnGo certification for its high- power LTE7485-S905 4G LTE-A Outdoor Router by the CBRS Alliance. In addition, the LTE7485- S905 has been tested and validated for full interoperability by the top three spectrum access system (SAS) server vendors, said Zyxel. To achieve OnGo certification, the LTE7485- S905 underwent rigorous testing by an inde- pendent authorized test laboratory to validate interoperability with other OnGo-certified equip- ment. For service providers, OnGo certification brings interoperability to multi-vendor, large- scale deployments, thus enabling best-of-breed solutions at competitive costs. The certification is essential for CBRS CPE categorized as “CBSD” (citizen broadband radio service devices). The Zyxel LTE7485-S905 4G LTE-A Outdoor Router is a CPE-CBSD device that delivers a maximum 36 dBm EIRP over the 3.5 GHz CBRS band and incorporates a built-in SAS client. The LTE7485-S905 employs 3GPP UE downlink category 16 to deliver data rates of up to 580 Mbps for lightning-fast internet connec- tivity over extended distances through fixed wireless access. Housed in an IP68 hardened enclosure, the router utilizes built-in 4x4 MIMO high-gain antennas providing up to 13 dBi per element, enabling it to work under near non- line-of-sight conditions to increase coverage. Standard 802.3af/at Gigabit PoE makes it easy to deploy and positions the device to maximize signal strength. The ability to remotely manage the LTE7485- S905 via TR-069, TR-181 and TR-143 protocols, and the Zyxel Band Pilot Remote Management System reduce OPEX by simplifying diagnostic and troubleshooting processes and significantly reducing the need for on-site technicians. “The closing of the CBRS auction in a record 24 bidding days highlights the importance of CBRS for delivering high-speed broadband to underserved areas,” explained Brian Feng, senior vice president of North America busi- ness unit at Zyxel Communications. “Achieving OnGo certification and validating interoperability with the top three SAS server vendors with the LTE7485 gives service providers a versatile, high-performance solution that can be deployed with the confidence of knowing that it will work as expected with other solutions within the growing OnGo ecosystem.” m Visit Zyxel Communications at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #444 or go to www.zyxel.com. Baicells Showcases Fixed Wireless 5G Hardware Kit B aicells Technologies, a leading manufac- turer of cost-effective LTE and 5G NR hardware solutions, is showcasing its upcoming 5G product line at WISPAPALOOZA 2021. The company highlighted an outdoor 5G fixed wireless base station, an indoor 5G fixed wireless base station and a 4G/5G baseband unit (BBU), which can be upgraded from 4G to 5G with a simple chip swap. Baicells has designed fixed wireless hard- ware that can be easily upgraded from LTE to 5G by swapping out a 4G BBU with a 5G BBU, allowing operators to avoid a tower climb to upgrade the network hardware. 5G networks will require the use of a base- band unit (BBU) to provide full 5G coverage as defined by the 3GPP. Baicells designates this BBU as the Pulsar 4G/5G series. The Pulsar BBU is designed to help operators avoid expen- sive tower climbs when it comes to upgrading the private LTE network to a full-fledged 5G network by making it possible to simply swap out the 4G BBU with a 5G BBU to upgrade the network from 4G to 5G when used alongside a Gamma846 or a Gamma430. The outdoor fixed wireless 5G base station is named Gamma846. This powerful 4x4MIMO, 8x5W eNB can begin operations as a LTE base station and be upgraded to 5G with a simple BBU upgrade. Baicells designed this base station to be widely accessible and allow fixed wireless operators the ability to begin building a 4G network today and upgrade it to a 5G network when you’re ready. The indoor fixed wireless 5G base station is named Gamma430, a picoRRU that can be deployed in enterprise indoor locations to blanket a compact area in 5G coverage and provide full coverage for IoT devices and other commercial internet needs. This unit can be installed in hospitals, shopping malls, transpor- tation hubs and other areas to densify network coverage and improve throughput speeds. m Visit Baicells at WISPAPALOOZA 2021 booth #325 or go to www.baicells.com.
