Through UNITEL, the new collaboration offers group life/ AD&D, short-term disability, long-term disability, dental (options for spouse/family), and vision (options for spouse/family). With a minimum of three enrolled employees, members can provide benefits for their teams, easily choosing between a pre-built range of options or customizing a plan for larger companies to match or improve current offerings. Plans feature preferred pricing, two-year rate locks, and guaranteed issue for most options. “If you are like many of our members, employee benefits play an integral part in attracting and retaining the very best employees,” said Aiken. But offering employee benefits can be challenging, especially for smaller companies that watch every penny to help their companies deliver the latest high-speed internet solutions to customers. “Keeping costs low is key, and the UNITEL offering achieves this through substantial premium savings on their products,” added Aiken. UNITEL has long-been active in the WISP commu - nity and is a WISPA vendor member. Its offerings present cost-effective employee perks to attract and keep talent in today’s tight labor market. “We allow companies with as few as three employees to get the protection they want,” said Ryan Keeley, CWCA, and vice president of UNITEL. “Not only does this make for a better workplace and happier employees, the one-stop-shop ease that UNITEL provides means owners can focus on what they do best – delivering broadband – instead of aimlessly shopping around for the best coverage.” Meanwhile, back in March, the association announced the hiring of Eric Slee as director of Government Affairs for WISPA. In this capacity, Slee has been charged with helping to guide the advocacy efforts of the association’s 1,000 members before Capitol Hill, as well as manage WISPA’s growing State and Local, Grassroots, and WISPA PAC portfolios. Slee brings nearly 15 years of Hill, strategic commu - nications, policy, and government relations experience to the table. Before arriving at WISPA, he was Legisla - tive Director for Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS), former Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee. In that role, Slee managed Senator Roberts’ legislative staff and worked to implement the Senator’s legisla - tive agenda. He also served as primary advisor to the Senator on policy matters related to telecom, energy, trade, and the environment. “With the changes in the Administration, House and Senate, our ambitious Hill agenda demanded we add to our advocacy arsenal so we could take full advan - tage of the burgeoning opportunities we see on Capitol Hill,” said Christina Mason, vice president of Govern - ment Affairs for WISPA. “Eric brings tremendous stra - tegic experience, know-how and bi-partisan adeptness to WISPA, and he’ll be instrumental to the success we achieve as he gives voice to our 1,000 WISP members on Capitol Hill.” Of course, WISPA and its membership are thrilled to be back. But we must still be aware that life has not totally returned to normal. In that vein, WISPA is asking attendees to follow a few conference policies in accordance with the policies of our host site and Marriot International. For starters, face masks are required for all guests in indoor and outdoor public spaces, including all WISPAMERICA event spaces. WISPA also asks that attendees keep a safe space between each other and please utilizes available seating (versus standing), as rooms will be arranged for safe-distance seating. And finally, please utilize hand sanitizers that are conve - niently located throughout the exhibit all and facility. Your cooperation is appreciated. Enjoy the show. m M usco’s Communication-Structure System monopole offers wireless service providers a complete solution that can be deployed in two days or less, said the company, while simplifying site acquisition, creating a safer installation process, and delivering better reliability. The Communication- Structure System monopole features a unique “5 Easy Pieces” design that includes a precast concrete base, galvanized steel pole, adjustable pole-mounted cabinet support, cable management, and poletop assembly. According to the company, the precast concrete base eliminates the need for a newly poured founda- tion, saving time and money, while the pole-mounted cabinet support eliminates the need for a separate pad, reducing the overall footprint and making site acquisition easier. All wireless equipment and radios are assembled on the ground along with the steel pole for a safer installation process for workers, and the system’s slip- fit design, integrated grounding, enclosed cabling, and corrosion mitigation provide superior long-term reliability. Musco backs its Communication-Structure System monopole with a warranty that covers all parts for 10 years and all labor for two years, eliminating mainte- nance costs and going well beyond the industry stan - dard one- to three-year warranty. m Visit Musco at WISPAMERICA booth #515; or visit promo.musco.com/wispa.
