1 4 WISPAMERICA 2021 I APRIL 26 - 29, 2021 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 2 Baicells Announces Ability to Create Private LTE Network for Less Than $1,000 B aicells Technologies, a leading provider in LTE and 5G NR manufacturing, announced at WISPAMERICA 2021 the ability for WISPs to establish a private LTE network for under $1,000 utilizing its Nova 227 and cost-effective CPE options. “Baicells entered the North American market five years ago with the goal of democratizing LTE and making it more accessible for WISPs,” said Boun Senekham, Baicells vice president of sales. “At this WISPAMERICA, we are happy to announce that it is now possible for WISPs to set up their own private LTE networks for under $1,000 by utilizing our Nova 227, which is available for $599, and our low-cost CPE, which is available for under $100. We’ve been seeing the demand for wireless that was created by COVID and the need to have better internet connectivity everywhere. We’re answering that call by lowering the cost of entry and making it possible for anyone to utilize LTE and remain competitive in their market.” The Nova 227 is a 2x250mW LTE micropop solution ideal for connecting clusters of users on the network edge or small clusters of users such as RV parks. It can be used in close-range deployments and can be installed incredibly quickly due to its small size inte- grated antenna. “We’ve always been pushing the envelope when it comes to offering connectivity solu- tions for the wireless market,” said Minchul Ho, Baicells general manager of North America. “The price drop on the Nova 227 and our intro- duction of our low-cost CPE is challenging the long-held belief that LTE is too expensive for small WISPs to work with.” And it’s not just about dropping the price, said Ho. “As we’re making LTE more acces- sible, we’re also looking to the future and developing products that will lead operators down the path of 5G and increasing the speeds they will be able to provide their customers. Our new CAT15 CPE and 5G-ready products demonstrate this,” he continued. m Visit Baicells at WISPAMERICA 2021 booth #539 or at na.baicells.com.
