WISPAPALOOZA Show Daily Day 3
1 4 WISPA PALOOZA SHOW I OCTOBER 8 - 12, 2018 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 3 L Z OO 2018 Telrad Holds Successful Trial of New MU-MIMO Technology T elrad Networks has announced the launch of its MU-MIMO (multi-user, multiple- input, multiple-output) technology, enabling operators to increase capacity in a network by up to 70 percent, said the company. The feature has been tested in a successful trial by Seaside Wireless Communications. The feature falls into an overall strategy by the company to increase capacity and coverage for customers. The MU-MIMO technology announcement follows two feature announce- ments earlier in the year for the dual sector/ carrier feature and carrier aggregation solution, both of which are now generally available. MU-MIMO will help improve network reli- ability and provide higher spectral efficiency for operators around the world, said Telrad. The technology allows for more users to use the same spectrum without self-interference and without degrading the overall network performance. The value of increased sector capacity without the addition of new spectrum or additional hardware greatly reduces opera- tional costs to operators and creates faster return on investment. Telrad’s latest software-defined feature includes smart scheduling based on CPE- specific sub-channel conditions to maximize spectral efficiency and multi-layer beamforming for improved coverage throughout the network, improving performance, increasing capacity and lowering costs for service providers. m Visit Telrad at WISPAPALOOZA booth #335. T he new high-performance ProLine Parabolic Antennas are engineered by KP Perfor- mance Antennas to suppress side-lobes and back-lobes and are excellent at rejecting interfer- ence, said the company. Available in 1-foot and 2-foot diameters with gain performance of 24 dBi and 29 dBi, respectively, these 5 GHz parabolic antennas are suited for high-density point-to-point client-premises or backhaul applications. These antennas maximize the potential of a radio by improving signal strength and reducing the noise floor in the link, said KP. The innova- tive design and assembly feature patent-pending quick-connect waveguide technology that allows rapid installation in minutes. Customers can choose from a connectorized waveguide launcher with N-type female connectors or a weatherproof, cable-less, push-in adapter designed specifically for the Mimosa C5c radio. Other highlights include stable gain over ultra-wide bandwidth of 4.9 GHz - 6.4 GHz; optimized F/B and side-lobe suppression that eliminates interference; built-in universal pipe- mount bracket that accommodates connector- ized radios; and heavy-duty bracket with ±15° fine elevation and ±15° azimuth adjustment. It mounts to any size mast from 0.75” to 4.5”. m Visit KP Performance Antennas at WISPAPALOOZA booth #311. KP Unveils Proline Parabolic Antennas
