Look beyond the federal government, though, and you will find a number of sales opportunities at hand at the state and local levels. We’re just a few months out from the New Hampshire primary, and according to a report from the NYU School of Law, much still needs to be done to protect the country’s elec- tion security. Next year, for instance, more than one in 10 voters are expected to cast paper- less votes, according to the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. However, many organizations are still vulnerable to cybercrime, the report says. About one-third of all local elec- tion jurisdictions are using voting machines that are at least a decade old – and many are still running on Windows 7.
