Spectrum Brings Mobile to the Channel By Gerald Baldino S pectrum turned some heads this July when the national cable company launched its groundbreaking Spectrum Mobile business wireless service to the channel. The move made Spectrum the first cable provider to bring a mobile product to the channel, said Chris Czekaj, vice president of strategic channels at Spectrum Business. “We feel the addition of Mobile to the Spectrum product portfolio gives our partners the ability to offer a more complete solution to their customers,” said Czekaj. “Mobile offers a completely new revenue stream for our partner community. Our partners are compen- sated for each Mobile line they sell, boosting revenue and creating new opportunities.” The announcement builds off Spectrum’s existing Mobile service for residential customers, which earned the company the designation as the “fastest- growing mobile provider in the nation” based on its second quarter 2020 results. “Spectrum Mobile delivers the fast- est overall speeds, and is the most reliable coast to coast,” explained Czekaj, citing findings by Nielsen, the FCC and RootMetrics by IHS Markit. Partners will benefit from Spectrum’s simple and cost-effective pricing options, which align with the current needs of today’s budget-conscious organizations, said Czekaj. Customers can choose from an unlimited data plan for $45 per month, or they can select a “By the Gig” data option for $14 per Gb per month. The product includes next-generation 5G service in parts of 35 select cities, including New York City, Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas, Texas; Los Angeles and San Diego, Calif. According to Spectrum, customers can save up to 40 percent over their current provider. Plus, customers have flexibility in the devices they use. “Customers can choose from the best devices, which we carry, or they can bring their own device. Either way, there are no contracts,” Czekaj explained. “With Spectrum Mobile, all taxes and fees are included – so the price they see is the price they pay. It’s a product that allows small business owners to get the best value and stay connected on a better network.” Spectrum is continuously working to bring incremental value to partners by launching more products, improving their processes, and providing better support for partners and their customers, said Czekaj. “We’ve created a library of tools to help our partners be successful with Spectrum Mobile,” he said. “The Spectrum Mobile Savings Calculator is a great tool for our agents to demonstrate po- tential savings with their clients. We have a series of customizable Mobile collateral to educate the customer, and we’ve created training modules and process documents to help our part- ners through every step of the sales process. Lastly, our regional channel managers are focused on supporting our partners in every aspect – provid- ing guidance on the Spectrum Partner Program, our products and the tools available to be successful.” Spectrum’s ongoing commitment to mobile development makes the company one to watch in 2020 — especially when considering how mobile complements the rest of the companies’ portfolio. In addition to Spectrum Mobile, the company also offers internet access, voice, networking and video solutions for customers of all sizes ranging from SMBs to large enterprises. So partners now have a wider set of offerings under the Spectrum brand, making it easier to help customers and drive more sales. “It’s an exciting time to sell Spectrum’s services, and we look forward to working together with all of our partners in the months ahead,” Czekaj concluded.
