Justin Walsh has been appointed by AireSpring to serve as its Colorado-based channel manager for the Mountain Region. During his 16 years at CenturyLink, most recently as inside sales manager for CenturyLink Business, Walsh had the opportunity to build relationships with both master agencies and sub-agents. He will be leveraging his partner network around the region now for AireSpring. Prior to Centu- ryLink, Walsh worked as a corporate inside sales manager at Verizon Business, following sales and account management position with Integra and Qwest. “We see Denver and the entire Moun- tain area as a burgeoning market that is in need of our customized attention,” said Ron McNab, AireSpring senior vice president of channel sales, “and we look forward to serving the channel community there as we grow together.” Hildene, the family home of Abraham Lincoln, has selected First- Light to provide internet connectivity throughout its campus. The upgrade enables students to collaborate on important projects regarding history, agriculture and economics. Hildene is considered to be one of the nation’s most important Lincoln sites, second only to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Mu- seum in Springfield, Ill. Located in Manchester, Vt., the site is far more than a historic gem. Built in 1905 by Robert Lincoln, the child of President Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd, the 412-acre estate is now home to a welcome center, museum store, a homestead, a restored Pullman railcar, miles of walking trails and a teaching greenhouse. The complex is also home to a cheese-making facility and a multitude of gardens. Hildene established a relationship with the local high school, Burr and Burton Academy, to provide classroom space and access to the green- house for opportunities to learn about agriculture, natural science and economics. Some of the hands-on learning in and around the greenhouse consists of experiments with weather, crop growth and soil health. Data analysis often requires real-time online collaboration with colleagues and experts located all over the world. More than 3,000 students from Vermont and New York visit Hildene each year.
