icymi Intel announced that the company is rebranding its channel partner program and adding new tools for training and collaboration. Moving for- ward, Intel’s partner program – formerly the Intel Technol- ogy Program — will be called the Intel Partner Alliance. During the course of the last 20 years, IFX Networks has evolved from an ISP to a leading managed service provider in Latin America. This year, the company is celebrating this milestone announcing the opening of new operations in Guatemala and a fiber network expansion in Lima and Santiago. Starting as an ISP, then as a neutral carrier and now as an MSP holding more than 2,000 enterprise customers in its portfolio throughout Latin America, IFX is rapidly catching up to regional brands with a unique service-oriented offering, said the company. It differentiates from the traditional telecom/IT companies in the region with a sales model where the sales force is backed up by product man- agers, along with post-sales engineers. “Each customer basically receives an army of knowledge and service behind them caring for their services and provid- ing advice,” said IFX. When IFX brought cloud into the region back in 2013, it came in thinking years ahead and opened six cloud platforms in or- der to provide IaaS localized in each of their major operating locations. In other words, IFX holds the largest public/private cloud in Latin America providing virtualization in three different hypervisors and localized infrastructures in Miami, Panama, Bogota, Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires. This year, Guatemala has opened its doors banking on the current fiber infrastruc- ture laid out by UFINET (IFX’s primary car- rier), as well as Lima and Santiago with the first fiber rings inside these Latin capitals. IFX is inviting global MSPs to take ad- vantage of its channel program extending their reach into the world’s most active emerging region, Latin America.
