Cloud services provider Fusion has entered into a bridge facility agreement with certain of its first lien lenders that injects $15 million of new capital. The financ- ing will allow Fusion and its key stakeholders to continue to evaluate and pursue a strategic path that will best position the company for the future. In addition, Fusion has the right to request up to an additional $5 million under the facility. “This new agreement is a step forward for our business as it provides additional funding in the short-term to ensure that we can reach the best long-term solution for our business while enabling us to meet our commitments to our employees, customers, partners and suppliers,” said Matthew Rosen, Fusion’s chairman and CEO. “All options currently being considered will allow us to maintain our business operations without interruption while we work to achieve our financial goals.” Distributor MicroCorp announced the ability to process commissions from any master agency and direct provider through its fully secure Commissions as a Service program. MicroCorp initially launched Commissions as a Service in January. MicroCorp’s Commissions as a Service capabilities include sub-agent commission calculation, white label statements, provider or master commissions dispute list, and custom reports such as lost accounts, new accounts and base churn. Channel partners can view and manage commissions real-time in MicroCorp’s proprietary back-office portal, Nautilus. Channel partners are not required to be directly contracted with MicroCorp to become a Commissions as a Service customer. Dave Pierce has been appointed by AireSpring to the newly created position of director of global SD-WAN. Pierce is tasked with supporting the AireSpring channel and solutions engineering teams as demand for AireSpring’s Global SD- WAN product continues to grow. He also will provide ongoing support for product line enhancements and help maximize opportunities for AireSpring’s channel part- ner community. Pierce joins AireSpring with nearly two decades of experience in IT and telecom infrastructure and deep expertise in solu- tion sales and management, most recently as senior director with VMANIX, where he focused on hybrid cloud solutions in global technology. Previously, he served as partner sales director for Aryaka Networks, while his management, sales and consulting background includes experience with such industry leaders as EarthLink, XO Communi- cations and Limelight Networks.
