Sept/Oct 19 - ChannelVision Magazine

O ur industry is breaking away from the traditional “phone on the desk” environment. Everything is declining in the traditional voice and data world, where in the wireless side of the house, everything is increasing. There’s no doubt about it, this is the di- rection the industry is heading. This trend is happening all across America. Wireless, however, remains the channel’s best kept secret that nobody is talking about. Just look around: You won’t find that many agents selling MVNO services right now, which is surprising. It’s a market that most partners simply aren’t exploring, because they are not aware of the opportu- nities that exist within that space. It’s possible, though, to sell MVNO, get paid a SPIF and receive a healthy residual income, as long as the customer keeps paying. It’s similar to the UDP days, when everyone was selling POTs lines. Today, though, every- one walks around with multiple devices – and the overall monthly cost of those devices is considerably higher than the old POTs prod- ucts that were maybe $20 per line. There’s se- rious money to be made, when you consider all the devices that employees use on average across an entire enterprise. Enterprise custom- ers today have a tremendous amount to spend in the wireless space, and demand is only go- ing to increase in the coming years. Now, it’s a matter of capitalizing on this opportunity. At P2, we have relationships in place that enable our partners to add significant revenue to their bottom lines. At the end of this year, for instance, we are going to pay our partners a substantial amount of money based on the addendum to our Diamond agreement with MetTel, and the Pot of Gold agreement that was rolled out to our sub- agents. This is low-hanging fruit that’s beg- ging to be picked. The Pot of Gold agreement – which runs through December 31 – allows sub- agents to earn a Master’s Bonus of up to 75 percent of one month’s monthly recur- ring charges when selling MetTel’s en- terprise wireless services. To qualify for the Pot of Gold deal, subagents can sell smartphone and basic phone packages, IoT deployments, fleet services, telehealth applications and data-only plans. Pay- outs will be made on December 31, 2019, for services sold and activated before the end of the year and on March 31, 2020, for services sold this year but activated in the first three months of 2020. So if you don’t have a contract in place today, and you want to be a part of this opportunity, contact us immediately to get a piece of the Pot of Gold promotion. The industry is changing, and it’s time for the channel to wake up to the massive wireless opportunity at hand. To get started, contact marketing@p2telecom.com .
