C iting the typically upbeat reports delivered by U.S. Presidents in the State of the Union Addresses, huck Hogg, President and Chairman of the Board at WISPA, started his own State of WISPA address with the “clear message that the state of our union is strong, and it is evolving,” he said. “2017 was a year of great progress for our industry,” said Hogg, speaking yesterday at WISPAMERICA, “and 2018 is shaking up to be another great year.” Overall, membership and attendance of WISPA shows are growing. Likewise, Hogg cited a recent report by the Carmel Group, co-sponsored by WISPA, which estimated that the number of U.S. subscribers to fixed broadband services, as well as WISP industry revenues, both will double between 2017 and 2021. Core industry revenues are expected to reach more than $5.2 billion by the end of the forecast period.
