The solution, Deployment Enablement Services, will help communications service providers (CSPs) ensure their network transformation projects are designed and imple- mented quickly, correctly and consistently, said the company. The services feature installation and construction best practices, workflow automa- tion tools and access to expertise that the Calix team has built through thousands of successful projects. By partnering with Calix, service providers can develop the ideal blueprint for any inside plant installation or outside plant construction. This collection of innovative services enables CSPs to not only rapidly scale their network deployments as they grow, they also reduce site revisits by as much as 70 percent and inventory loss by as much as 20 percent, said Calix. Calix Project Playbooks enable repeatable and high-quality execution of inside and outside plant projects by equipping engineers, field deployment personnel, installers and contrac- tors with best practices and guidelines. The Calix MobilePRO App, meanwhile, provides fast and accurate documentation of field activities and enables immediate coordination among field installers, project managers and quality engineers through their mobile devices, reducing inventory loss. Calix Quality Assessment Service then iden- tifies implementation problems and commu- nicates them in near real-time to the on-site engineer or technician, helping to reduce costly follow-up trips. These three components combine to provide a critical operational foundation for any green- field or network expansion project, said Calix. In addition, the service can be customized to meet the specific needs of a CSP based on equipment and technology deployed, as well as unique operational workflows. “Calix has developed first-hand expertise from thousands of successful deployment projects, and the Deployment Enablement Services is our way of sharing our vast experience to coach our customers to greater success,” said Greg Bill- ings, senior vice president of services for Calix. “While beneficial for both greenfield and existing networks, these services are especially attrac- tive for fiber innovators such as electric coopera- tives and municipalities. Many of these organiza- tions are relatively new to broadband and benefit greatly from experts who can share our success blueprints on how to shorten deployment cycles and ramp subscribers quickly.” m Visit Calix at WISPAMERICA booth #608.
