As “THE Communications STACK Provider,” it is critical for NHC to remain strides ahead of its competition through advances in portfolio and partnerships, alike. In recent times, this has included a newer emphasis on bolstering partner engagement, improving national coverage and actively strengthening its vendor alliances. Recently, ChannelVision Magazine sat down with company CEO, Doug Fabbricatore, to discuss the company’s vision, recent initiatives, future plans and more. ChannelVision: What has NHC been up to lately? Doug Fabbricatore: NHC has been very active getting our teams out on the road to strengthen our vendor and partner relationships. This includes more customer face-toface meetings, trade shows and sponsored partner events. It’s been great because we have some exciting new product solutions in the NHC stack, including SD-WAN, managed services and, of course, 5G for both backup and now for reliable fixed wireless. CV: As “THE Communications STACK Provider,” what sets NHC apart from a lot of the players out there? DF: For one, it’s our national coverage and the deep bench of not only products but a variety of underlying carriers to choose from. This gives our partners the advantage of combining best-in-breed services from multiple carriers. For instance, seamlessly blending the largest wireless, landline, fiber and broadband carriers so that any underlying carrier can play the role as primary or backup, and customers can add multiple voice or data overlay products, such as VoIP or SD-WAN, and NHC provides a single bill with “single point of support” at a competitive rate. CV: Could you talk about partner engagement and why it’s so critical? DF: Four columns of strength as the basis of NHC is our relationship with our customers, partners, vendors and employees. In particular, our partners are critical because they are often the first ones to promote our NHC Stack brand to their existing customers and new logos. We work hard to make sure we have the proper product solutions for their target market, and that when they close a deal, we get that order implemented and billed with good communication, and on time. From single site deals to large complex national set ups, we know partners can rely on NHC to “get their stuff done.” It’s critical we earn their trust and retain our mutual customers. CV: How does 5G expansion fit into the grander scheme? DF: In the NHC three-layer stack, 5G fits into the network layer for connectivity. Originally, these offerings were for disaster recovery backup or a temporary quick deployment for bandwidth when wireline last mile was not quickly available due to facilities. Now, we are deploying 5G as a primary and backup solution. The availability is growing at a rapid pace. I suggest partners strongly start looking at this option for primary access. Reliability, great pricing and high speeds – NHC can overlay some extraordinary packages that work seamlessly. CV: What can we expect from NHC for the rest of this year? DF: All future plans begin with our strong core belief toward making every interaction an NHC customer or partner has, a positive experience. We recently had a team meeting where our head of project management created a slogan for his team: “Pursue Better.” He’s energized a great team of project managers ensuring that all partner orders get proper planning and attention. This is the NHC focus of constant improvement – every day “pursue better” in all aspects of our business. That’s the strategic focus. On the product side, we will continue to focus on SD-WAN, 5G fixed wireless, VoIP and – while not as tech-forward – critical POTS migrations. We are mastering these abilities for our existing and new customers, from legacy copper to new and better tech.
