INCOMPAS SHOW DAILY - DAY 1 -2026

www.bekabusinessmedia.com SHOW.INCOMPAS.ORG 1 The 2026 INCOMPAS Show comes to Nashville with a renewed focus on the rapidly changing communications landscape. This year’s event highlights major developments across connectivity, fiber, AI infrastructure and investment—from the conversations taking place to the companies participating and the content being presented. This evolution will be reflected in keynotes from investor David Grain, CEO of Grain Management, and Zayo CEO Sowmyanarayan Sampath, who will address key forces reshaping the industry. Today at 8:45 a.m. in Legends Ballroom D, Sampath will share Zayo’s perspective on the growing need to connect AI capacity with demand across a highly distributed digital landscape. Then at 10:45 a.m., Grain will offer an investor’s view of where capital continues to flow, how infrastructure portfolios are evolving, and what those decisions signal about the future of fiber, connectivity and digital infrastructure. “We are thrilled to feature David and Sampath at The 2026 INCOMPAS Show,” said INCOMPAS CEO Chip Pickering. “Their perspectives will provide attendees with valuable insight into the market forces driving deployment today and the longterm trends companies should be planning for in the years ahead.” This year’s INCOMPAS Show offers expanded opportunities for attendees to explore these trends through a Breakfast & Learn, panel discussions, and workshops focused on key business priorities like marketing and policy. Attendees will leave with practical insights they can apply immediately, whether they’re building networks, growing their businesses or navigating an evolving regulatory landscape. But at its core, The INCOMPAS Show has always been about business. As Pickering noted, speakers and sessions help attendees get the pulse of the industry. But, perhaps more important, are the opportunities to build relationships and make deals. “That’s why INCOMPAS continues to invest in networking opportunities, our show floor and the Buyers Forum, which are available to all attendees,” Pickering added. “The goal is to create an environment where people can learn, connect with multiple partners and prospects in a couple of days, and leave with practical knowledge and real opportunities to move their businesses forward.” INCOMPAS is also continuing its efforts to improve the attendee experience. One example is this year’s move to Nashville, a destination that combines an exceptional business environment with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. 4 THE INCOMPAS SHOW I NOVEMBER 1 - 3, 2026 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 1 venue were selected based on direct feedback from the INCOMPAS community. “We’re always looking for ways to improve the event, and many of those enhancements come directly from the feedback we receive from attendees and sponsors,” Pickering added. “In fact, I can’t emphasize enough how important that feedback is. We want to hear what people think about every aspect of the show, from the venue and networking opportunities to the educational content and overall attendee experience. Those insights play a major role in shaping future events.” That feedback is also shaping the show’s future. This week, INCOMPAS will announce that The INCOMPAS Show will be in Tampa for the next three years, which is another decision driven by attendee and sponsor input. “Tampa has consistently been one of our most popular locations, and securing a multi-year commitment there not only brings us back to a city our attendees enjoy, but also gives companies greater predictability for planning travel, budgets and participation well in advance,” Pickering said. Beyond the location, INCOMPAS is continuously refining the show to create more opportunities for networking and business development. “I think this year’s event will be successful for the same reason we’ve continued to grow year after year: We’re bringing together the right people— including a high percentage of top executives and decision makers—to have the right conversations at exactly the right time,” Pickering said. “We’re seeing strong interest from both longtime participants and companies that are new to The INCOMPAS Show, which tells us that the event continues to be a valuable place for organizations looking to build partnerships, explore opportunities, and stay ahead of industry trends. In fact, this year there will be nearly 80 new companies attending the show and more than 200 attendees who are joining us for the first time.” The 2026 INCOMPAS Show also boasts a robust lineup of speakers, reflecting the major forces reshaping communications and digital infrastructure. “My biggest piece of advice is simple: Take full advantage of everything the show has to offer,” Pickering said. “It’s not just sessions; it’s the conversations that happen at planned meetings and in between, the connections made in the exhibit hall and our daily networking events, and the opportunities to engage with peers, partners and potential customers in a single location over three days.” INCOMPAS intentionally creates opportunities for attendees to connect. All registered attendees can attend the receptions, as well as breakfast and lunch. Attendees can also take advantage of the daily Buyers Forum hour to connect with service provider buyers during impromptu speed meetings. And if you’re looking for a central meeting spot, the INCOMPAS Bar and Deal Center—both in the exhibit hall—are ideal places to connect with colleagues, meet new people and continue conversations. “Make sure to spend time on the show floor,” Pickering said. “That’s where you’ll find many of the industry’s leading companies showcasing new offerings, exploring partnerships and having the conversations that drive business forward. At the end of the day, the more you engage, the more value you’ll get from the experience. Whether your goal is learning, networking, deal-making or all three, there are opportunities around every corner at The INCOMPAS Show.” p Essentia, a Charlotte, N.C.-based fiber network design and construction firm, will demonstrate how its eSpeed deployment platform helps funded fiber projects finish on schedule, on budget and ready for audit. The 2026 INCOMPAS Show comes as the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program moves from awards to execution. Regional ISPs and rural telephone cooperatives now face fixed construction milestones, “Build America, Buy America” sourcing rules and state broadband office reporting that can put funding at risk, often with lean internal engineering teams. Leading Essentia’s work with these providers is Carl Meyerhoefer, who recently joined as senior vice president of Broadband Solutions. A fiber engineer turned business development executive, Meyerhoefer has built growth strategies for rural broadband providers and electric cooperatives, worked closely with state broadband offices and helped secure more than $500 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and BEAD funding. On most fiber builds, engineering, permitting and construction live in separate systems. Executives wait on manual reports, problems surface late and reconciling field work against invoices becomes its own project. For providers spending grant or investor dollars, that fragmentation means blind spots, audit risk and costly delays. eSpeed brings it all into one place. Providers, contractors and Essentia’s project teams work from the same real-time data, organized around four things every build depends on: • Dates: Earned value tracking, a Schedule Performance Index and risk registers flag critical path issues before they become delays, and parallel task scheduling shortens timelines. • Documents: Engineering, permits and photo logs sit in one system of record, with permit status mapped by route, segment and span. • Dollars: Field production is matched to invoices and budgets for audit-ready verification, the kind of record funding reimbursement depends on. • Deliverables: Final as-builts and closeout packages are linked to the tasks and invoices behind them. Live GPS photos, drone data capture and field QA/QC give providers production status across every crew. eSpeed connects to the GIS, CAD, ERP and project management tools they already use. Behind the platform, Essentia supplies flexible engineering, construction and operations capacity that scales with each build, so providers can protect speed to revenue without adding permanent headcount for a finite project. Through its eNetworks business, Essentia also builds custom dark fiber and interconnection routes for carriers and data center operators. p Head to Meeting Lounge 300 to meet the Essentia team, or schedule an eSpeed strategy session at essentia-inc.com or by emailing solutions@essentia-inc.com. 6 THE INCOMPAS SHOW I NOVEMBER 1 - 3, 2026 www.bekabusinessmedia.com DAY 1 A year ago, Ezee Fiber had moved beyond its Texas roots into New Mexico, Washington and Illinois. Today, the company operates in six states, with more than 10,000 miles of fiber, about 800 employees and new research quantifying what fiber delivers to the communities it serves. Under CEO Matt Marino, who took the helm in 2023, Ezee Fiber added Oregon and Michigan in 2026. The company now serves Texas, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon, Illinois and Michigan, each from a regional office staffed by people who live in the area: Houston; Albuquerque; Kent, Wash.; Salem, Ore.; Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and Troy, Mich. In June, Ezee Fiber opened a 30,000-square-foot operations center in Troy. The hub creates more than 50 local jobs and brings symmetrical speeds of up to 8 Gbps to Michigan homes. Illinois, where the company announced a $400 million Chicago-area expansion in 2025, has picked up speed in the suburbs. Ezee Fiber launched service in Elk Grove Village in July. Barrington, Ill., trustees approved a license agreement that gives public agencies free access to the network. In September, the Deerfield Village, Ill., Board approved a buildout expected to reach 95% of homes. In Texas, where it has invested over $250 million, Ezee Fiber closed its acquisition of Tachus Fiber Internet in 2025, becoming the state’s largest independent fiber internet provider. In 2026 it added DayNet, based in Dayton, Texas. Across its six states, the company’s cumulative supply-chain investment now tops $1 billion. The local model remains central to Ezee Fiber. The company now backs that up with more than 750 community events and 350 local partners in Texas and New Mexico alone, plus a 300-plus vehicle fleet and 24/7 local customer service. Beyond fiber-to-the-home, Ezee Fiber offers wholesale and carrier services for ISPs, wireless carriers, hyperscalers and data centers, with enterprise connectivity at speeds up to 400 Gbps. Its network promises 99.99% reliability with no data caps. The business customer base has grown to nearly 700 enterprises, 75 medical providers, 21 educational institutions serving 151 locations, 17 government agencies and eight citywide network infrastructure clients. p Ezee Fiber is a Bronze Sponsor of The 2026 INCOMPAS Show. Ezee Fiber Expands Footprint Across Six States Bluebird Fiber Announces Tera-Core Grain Management, a leading private investment firm focused on digital infrastructure and communications, has completed its strategic combination of Ritter Communications and Great Plains Communications to create Rightfiber. Grain Management Completes Strategic Combination Forming Rightfiber Bluebird Fiber has announced TeraCore, a new optical transport and IP backbone architecture designed to expand network capacity for hyperscalers, data center operators, carriers and large enterprise customers. Tera-Core builds on existing 400G capabilities and establishes a path toward 800G wavelengths, higher bandwidth IP services and future multi-terabit capacity. Bluebird Fiber currently offers 400G-capable routes, with additional routes coming online by the end of 2026 and throughout 2027. “We’re moving into a market where 400G is no longer an edge case,” said Bluebird Fiber COO Joe Meyer. “Customers are increasingly looking at multiple 400G connections as part of a single network design. Tera-Core is designed to scale alongside our customers as their capacity requirements grow.” On the optical side, Tera-Core modernizes Bluebird Fiber's network with colorless, gridless dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology that reduces traditional wavelength assignment constraints and improves flexibility in deploying added capacity. The architecture also includes a roadmap for expanding from C-band to include L-band spectrum, increasing the amount of capacity that can be deployed over existing fiber. At the packet layer, Tera-Core introduces modern routing platforms and silicon architecture designed to significantly expand customer bandwidth capabilities. The terabit-capable IP/MPLS architecture supports higher-capacity connectivity for cloud interconnection, wireless backhaul, carrier services and other bandwidth-intensive applications. Tera-Core is the centerpiece of Bluebird Fiber's network evolution strategy. As customers move from single 400G connections to more complex, highercapacity network designs, the architecture provides greater flexibility to add capacity where and when customers need it. p Bluebird Fiber is located in the Omni Nashville Suite.

Alabama Fiber Network (AFN) has completed its statewide middle-mile fiber network, delivering more than 6,700 route miles of high-speed fiber infrastructure across all 67 Alabama counties. The utility-grade, open-access network provides a resilient foundation for expanding broadband access, supporting economic development and connecting communities across the state. Supported by more than $270 million in state and federal investment awarded through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), the project includes an $82.4 million grant awarded in 2022 and an additional $188 million awarded in 2024-2025 to expand connectivity to schools, hospitals, libraries and public safety facilities. Established by eight Alabama electric cooperatives, AFN leverages existing fiber assets, utility rights-ofway and decades of infrastructure expertise. The network features more than 78 hardened points of presence (PoPs), redundant power systems and diverse fiber routes designed to withstand severe weather. “This is a major milestone for Alabama and a testament to what public and private partners can accomplish together,” said Terry Metze, CEO of AFN. “We’ve built a statewide fiber backbone that creates new opportunities for businesses, communities and broadband providers. It’s an investment in Alabama’s future.” With its statewide backbone complete, AFN is focused on supporting broadband providers, expanding last-mile connectivity opportunities and strengthening Alabama’s digital infrastructure. p Trunkstar, a global connectivity lifecycle management provider, will demonstrate its replacement for manual quoting: an AI multisite check that transforms multilocation RFPs into one quote. “Manual quoting just became a museum piece,” said Mees Kraan, Trunkstar’s marketing director. “Trunkstar’s AI multisite check reduces days of work to a matter of minutes.” “We’ve all been there: one RFP, eight locations, one messy spreadsheet, and days of copy-paste before a quote goes out,” Kraan added. “With the AI multisite check, your team uploads the RFP and the repetitive work is taken over: AI prepares the addresses and requirements, geocodes every location, and runs availability checks and pricing searches across all sites at once, hands-off. Everything comes together as a multi-site quote with pricing and contract terms in a single place.” p For more details, visit Trunkstar at Deal Center Table 4. THREE YEARS. ONE DESTINATION. TAMPA OCTOBER 24 - 26 OCTOBER 14 - 16 OCTOBER 1 - 3 2027 2028 2029 SHOW.INCOMPAS.ORG

This week Transaction Network Services (TNS) will preview a new Juniper Research white paper, “Securing the Future of Voice Communications with IP Migration,” outlining a roadmap for navigating the transition to all-IP networks. The white paper comes as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) advances a proceeding focused on IP transition and network modernization, with an order expected by early 2027. That order is expected to reshape how every voice network in the country connects, prices and prepares, and the agency aims to substantially complete the shift away from legacy Public Switched Telephone Network infrastructure by 2028. That regulatory push adds urgency for communications service providers (CSPs) racing to modernize aging TDM switches, signaling and interconnection arrangements before the mandate forces their hand. The TNS white paper lays out a five-phase roadmap for CSPs that includes stabilizing the legacy network, reducing dependence on TDM, simplifying interconnection and routing, modernizing switching operations, and expanding services and revenue. Rather than treating modernization as an all-or-nothing overhaul, the framework is designed to help CSPs cut costs, reduce reliance on increasingly scarce legacy expertise, and build toward IP-based, VoIP and carriergrade, purpose-built cloud communications offerings all without disrupting the reliable voice service customers expect. p To access the white paper, contact marcom@tnsi.com.
