Each company is poised to contribute specialized knowledge to this collaboration, including Nokia expertise in private wireless connectivity solutions and Dell’s specialization in robust infrastructure solutions. As part of the alliance, Nokia will appoint Dell as its infrastructure partner of choice for its existing AirFrame customer base. Nokia AirFrame is a data center solution designed to accommodate cloud-native and virtualized software workloads. Conversely, Dell will position the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) as the ideal private wireless platform for its enterprise clientele, aiming to integrate it with Dell’s own NativeEdge edge operations software platform. Both companies will also maintain their cooperative efforts in application and platform testing, alongside managing their respective lifecycles. Nokia’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, Nishant Batra, spoke on the partnership, emphasizing its expected impact. According to Batra, this collaboration will not only enhance flexibility for both Nokia and Dell but will also more effectively meet the evolving needs of customers. Batra underscored that the shared venture would cater to the future requirements of customers facing growing network demand, and provide solutions to help CSPs more easily evolve networks into cloud-based infrastructure.
